If your current system needs frequent repairs or your energy bills keep rising, it might be time for an AC replacement. Most air conditioning units last 10 to 15 years. After that, repair costs often add up faster than the system is worth. A newer, high-efficiency unit can cut your monthly electric bills while keeping your home comfortable. Not every problem needs a full replacement. If your system is fairly new, AC repair might be the better option. Our technicians will give you an honest assessment about what makes sense for your situation. ## Which AC System is Right for Your Home? Every home cools differently based on size, layout, and insulation. During the consultation, we recommend energy-efficient systems from all major brands that fit your needs and budget. We handle everything from equipment selection to final testing, balancing upfront AC installation cost with long-term energy savings. ### Central Air Conditioning Central air conditioning is the most popular choice for South Florida homes. These systems use your existing ductwork to deliver consistent temperature throughout your house. We install units that balance powerful cooling with reasonable energy bills. Ductless mini-splits let you control each room's temperature separately. Each unit works on its own, so everyone can set their preferred setting. They work well for room additions, converted garages, or homes without ductwork. ### Smart Thermostats & Controls Upgrade your new system with a smart thermostat. We install and program the latest Wi-Fi thermostats from Nest, ecobee, and more, giving you total control over your home's comfort and energy use. ### Ductwork Services When upgrading your AC, your duct system matters just as much as the unit itself. Leaky or poorly insulated ducts waste cooling and drive up costs. Our duct services identify and fix problem areas to maximize efficiency. ## We Install Every Major AC Brand Our HVAC technicians install, repair, and service all major brands. Same-day availability. 1-year warranty on parts and labor. - Not sure what you need? Give us a call and we'll help you figure it out. ## Cooling Systems We Install and Service South Florida's climate means most homes rely on air conditioning for 8 to 10 months of the year. Humidity, salt air, and near-constant runtime are all factors that affect how different systems perform over time. ### Central Air Conditioning Central air is what most Florida homes already have. An outdoor condenser works with an indoor air handler to push cooled air through existing ductwork. For homes with ducts in decent shape, it's usually the most practical option for whole-home cooling. Ductless mini-splits are a good fit for homes without ductwork, room additions, converted garages, and spaces the main system can't reach well. Each unit controls its own zone independently, so you're only conditioning the rooms that need it. ### Whole-Home Dehumidifiers If your home feels clammy even with the AC running, the system may be oversized and short-cycling before it can pull moisture from the air. A whole-home dehumidifier works alongside your existing system to address that without replacing equipment that's otherwise functioning fine. ### UV Light Purifiers UV purifiers mount inside the air handler and use ultraviolet light to reduce mold, bacteria, and airborne contaminants before they circulate through the home. In South Florida's humid climate, it's a reasonable upgrade if indoor air quality is a concern. ### Smart Thermostats A smart thermostat won't change which system you have, but it can make a noticeable difference in how efficiently it runs. Most learn your schedule over time, allow remote control, and are eligible for utility rebates in Broward and Palm Beach counties. ## Which Cooling System Is Right for You? Every home is different. Hover each card to see what each system does best and what it costs to get started. ### Central Air (Split System) Best for: Homes with existing ductwork The most common choice in South Florida. Works with your existing ducts for whole-home cooling. Practical, proven, and well-supported by every major brand. ### Ductless Mini-Split Best for: Homes without ducts, room additions Zone-by-zone control means you're only cooling rooms that need it. Ideal for additions, garages, and older homes where running new ductwork isn't practical. ### Air Handler Upgrade Best for: Aging indoor components in split system When the outdoor condenser is newer but the air handler is aging, replacing just the indoor unit restores efficiency and extends the system's life without a full replacement. ### Packaged Unit Best for: Mobile homes, limited mechanical space All-in-one unit where the entire system is housed in a single outdoor cabinet. Popular in mobile homes and buildings where there's no indoor space for an air handler. ### Whole-Home Dehumidifier Best for: Persistent humidity issues Addresses that clammy feeling when the AC can't keep up with South Florida's moisture levels. Works alongside your existing system without replacing it. ## Getting the Right Size AC AC sizing is one of the more common mistakes in Florida installations. An undersized unit can't keep up on the hottest days. An oversized one cools the air too fast, shuts off before it has time to remove humidity, and leaves rooms feeling damp even when the thermostat shows the right temperature. ### Typical AC Sizing by Home Size We run a Manual J load calculation before recommending equipment — it's the only reliable way to size a system for a specific home. These figures assume standard ceilings and typical South Florida construction. Ceiling height, window area, sun exposure, and insulation quality all affect the final number. ### What Affects Your Load Calculation? The starting point, but not the whole story. Two homes of the same size can need very different systems. Higher ceilings mean more air volume to condition, especially in open-plan living areas. South-facing glass in South Florida adds significant heat load during peak afternoon hours. Older homes with minimal attic insulation can require significantly more cooling capacity than newer builds. ## Schedule Your Cooling System Assessment Pro Comfort AC serves homeowners throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. We offer upfront pricing, same-day availability, and a 1-year warranty on parts and labor. We provide a written estimate before any work begins. Call us or request a quote online . ## Signs Your AC System Needs Replacement A few of these on their own might point to a repair. Several at once usually means replacement is the more sensible call. Schedule an inspection and we'll give you a clear picture of where things stand. Without any change in usage, rising bills signal the system is working harder than it should. When repairs start happening regularly or parts are hard to find, replacement often makes more financial sense. The system blows warm air or can't keep up with South Florida's moisture levels even when running continuously. Grinding, banging, or rattling during operation usually indicates a mechanical failure that won't resolve itself. Salt air accelerates corrosion on coastal properties. Significant rust or refrigerant leaks on an aging unit often make repair impractical. Repeated on-off cycling before the system completes a full run strains compressors and leaves humidity problems behind. R-22 is no longer manufactured. Recharging is expensive and most R-22 systems are old enough that replacement is the better investment. ## Brands We Install and Service Our technicians work across all major manufacturers and stock parts for most brands. Have a different brand? Contact us and we'll confirm whether we can help. Through a Manual J load calculation, factoring in square footage, ceiling height, insulation, and window placement. Estimates based on square footage alone tend to produce oversized equipment, which causes humidity problems and higher bills. Usually yes, especially if the air handler is 10+ years old. Pairing a new condenser with an old air handler limits efficiency and strains the new equipment. Most standard central air system replacements can be completed in a single day, usually 4 to 8 hours depending on system complexity and whether any ductwork modifications are needed. Ductless mini-split installations for a single zone typically run 3 to 5 hours. Yes. Any new system installation or replacement requires a permit under Florida building code. We handle the permit process on your behalf, and all work is inspected to code before we close out the job. Yes. We offer financing through trusted lenders with flexible payment plans. Ask about current options when you call or request a quote — we can usually get you pre-qualified quickly. Start by checking the thermostat settings, air filter, and circuit breaker. If nothing obvious stands out, the problem is most likely internal and worth having a technician look at before it gets worse. We offer same-day AC repair throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties and can usually diagnose the issue on the first visit. Faster than most expect. Coils, cabinets, and electrical connections are all vulnerable. Corrosion-resistant equipment, coil coatings, and annual maintenance help. Ask about coastal-rated options when you call. --- # Ductless Mini Split Systems in South Florida Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/cooling/systems/ductless-mini-splits/ ## Ductless Mini Split Services in South Florida Installation, Repair & Heat Pumps — Broward & Palm Beach Counties - Cool a single room or your whole home — no ductwork required. - One system handles both heating and cooling — built for Florida's climate. - Each zone is controlled independently — pay to cool only the rooms you use. - Licensed local technicians serving Broward and Palm Beach counties. Free on-site estimates. ## What Is a Ductless Mini Split? Most homes run on central air until they hit a room that's always too hot or too cold — a garage conversion, a sunroom addition, a master bedroom with its own needs. A ductless mini split solves that problem without tearing into your walls or running new ductwork. Pro Comfort AC helps homeowners throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties select, install, and maintain ductless mini split systems built for Florida's climate. We service all types of cooling systems . Contact us to speak with our team about your comfort needs. A ductless mini split is a two-part system: an outdoor compressor unit and one or more indoor air handlers mounted on the wall or ceiling. The two units connect through a small conduit in the wall — no ductwork required. Each indoor unit conditions its own zone independently. That means you can cool one room without affecting another, set different temperatures for different areas of the home, and avoid paying to cool spaces no one is using. ## Types of Ductless Mini Split Systems The right system depends on how many rooms or zones you need to condition. Here's how each option works. ### Single-Zone Mini Splits One outdoor unit paired with one indoor air handler. The most common setup for adding comfort to a specific room — a home office, a garage, a room addition, or anywhere your central system doesn't reach. - Simple installation — minimal wall penetration - Lower cost than multi-zone systems - Easy to control and maintain - Only conditions one room or area - Separate unit needed for each additional zone ### Multi-Zone Mini Splits One outdoor unit connected to two, three, four, or more indoor air handlers. Each zone operates independently, so every room gets its own temperature setting. - Conditions multiple rooms from a single outdoor unit - Each zone controlled independently - More efficient than separate single-zone units - Higher upfront cost than single-zone - Outdoor unit must be sized correctly for total load ### Ductless Mini Split Heat Pumps Most ductless mini splits sold today are heat pumps — they cool in summer and heat in winter by reversing the refrigerant cycle. South Florida's mild winters make these systems extremely efficient year-round. One system handles both heating and cooling. - One system handles heating and cooling - Far more efficient than electric resistance heat - Ideal for Florida's climate - Slightly higher upfront cost than cooling-only - Heating capacity drops at very low temps (rare in South FL) ## Ductless Mini Splits vs. Central Air Not sure which system is right for your home? Here's how they stack up on the factors that matter most. Costs are estimates and vary based on unit size, brand, and installation requirements. Contact us for a free on-site assessment and honest estimate. ## How to Size a Ductless Mini Split Proper sizing prevents a system that short-cycles (too large) or can't keep up (too small). Sizing is measured in BTUs per hour. South Florida's heat, humidity, ceiling height, sun exposure, and insulation all affect the calculation. Our technicians perform a proper load calculation before recommending a unit. ### General BTU Guidelines by Room Size These are starting points. Our technicians perform a full load calculation for every installation. ### Installation Cost in South Florida Variables include brand, BTU capacity, number of zones, distance between units, and any electrical upgrades needed. Contact us for a free on-site assessment and honest estimate. ## Not Sure What Size You Need? Our technicians perform a full load calculation before recommending a unit — no guesswork, no overselling. Contact Pro Comfort AC for a free on-site assessment anywhere in Broward or Palm Beach County. ## Signs Your Mini Split Needs Attention Ductless systems are reliable, but watch for these warning signs. Catching issues early almost always means a lower repair bill. - Reduced cooling or heating output - Ice forming on the indoor unit - Water dripping or pooling under the air handler - Unusual noises — grinding, rattling, or hissing - Strange smells when the unit runs - System short-cycling (turning on and off rapidly) - Remote or thermostat not responding ## Repair or Replace Your Mini Split? Our team gives you an honest answer before any work begins. Here's how we think about it. ### Repair — When It Makes Sense Common issues like refrigerant recharge, capacitor replacement, drainage clogs, or faulty circuit boards are typically quick fixes. If the repair cost is less than 50% of a new system, repair is usually the smarter call. We handle all common mini split repairs fast. ### Replace — When It's Time Quality mini split systems last 15–20 years. South Florida's humidity and salt air can accelerate wear on outdoor units. If your system is approaching 15 years old and developing frequent issues, replacement is likely the better investment. Our team handles full replacements and new installs throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. ## Why Upgrade to a Ductless Mini Split? Modern inverter-driven mini splits deliver comfort and efficiency advantages that older systems and central air simply can't match. ### 20–40% More Efficient Modern inverter-driven systems beat older fixed-speed units on every electricity bill. ### Zone-by-Zone Control Eliminate hot and cold spots. Every room gets exactly the temperature it needs. ### No Floor Space Used Wall-mounted indoor units stay out of the way. No bulky floor units or window blockers. ### No Duct Energy Losses Skip duct cleaning, duct sealing, and the 20–30% energy losses typical ducted systems waste. ### FPL Rebates May Apply Many units qualify for FPL rebates or federal tax credits. We'll help you check current incentives before installation. ## Ductless Mini Split Maintenance in South Florida Annual maintenance extends system life and keeps efficiency up. Our HVAC maintenance plans cover ductless systems alongside all other equipment we service. South Florida's heat and humidity accelerate wear. Systems maintained annually consistently outlast neglected ones — regular tune-ups are particularly important here. From installation to annual tune-ups, Pro Comfort AC keeps South Florida homes comfortable year-round. Contact us to schedule service. ### What's Included in Every Visit - 1 Filter & Coil Cleaning We clean air filters and the indoor evaporator coil to restore airflow and efficiency. - 2 Condensate Drain Inspection We inspect and clear condensate drain lines — South Florida's heat encourages algae buildup that causes water damage. - 3 Refrigerant Check We check refrigerant levels and inspect for leaks that reduce cooling capacity and drive up energy costs. - 4 Electrical & Capacitor Test We test all electrical connections and capacitors — catching a failing capacitor early prevents a costly compressor failure. - 5 Outdoor Unit Service We inspect the outdoor unit and clear debris from the coil and surrounding area. - 6 Controls Verification We verify thermostat and remote control operation to make sure every zone responds correctly. ## Ductless Mini Split Brands We Install in South Florida Pro Comfort AC works with all major ductless mini split manufacturers. Our technicians are trained on the systems they install and stock parts for common repairs. - Fujitsu - Bosch - MrCool - Senville Don't see your brand listed? Contact us and we'll let you know if we can help. For most South Florida homeowners — especially those dealing with an addition, a room that central air doesn't reach, or an older home without ductwork — yes. The efficiency gains and precise zone control typically deliver a return on investment within several years. Modern units are very quiet. Indoor air handlers typically operate between 19 and 32 decibels — quieter than a library. Outdoor units are louder but comparable to a typical central air condenser. Quality systems typically last 15–20 years with proper maintenance. South Florida's salt air and humidity can accelerate wear on outdoor components, so annual service is particularly important here. The refrigerant line connections require EPA 608 certification, and electrical connections must meet code. Professional installation protects your warranty and ensures safe, efficient operation. Yes. Broward and Palm Beach counties require permits for HVAC installations. We handle all permitting as part of our installation service. Mini splits are well-suited for humid climates — they dehumidify as they cool. Keeping drain lines clear is important, as South Florida's heat and moisture can lead to algae buildup in condensate lines. Our maintenance plans include drain line inspections on every visit. FPL and other local utilities occasionally offer rebates for high-efficiency mini split systems. Federal tax credits may also apply for qualifying heat pump models. We can help you check current incentives before installation. A single-zone installation typically takes 4–6 hours. Multi-zone installs vary based on the number of units and the complexity of routing — most are completed in one day. Upfront pricing. Licensed technicians. - Book a service call to get started. ## What Is an Air Handler? An air handler is the indoor half of a split cooling system. It works alongside your outdoor condenser to deliver cool, dehumidified air through your ductwork. Inside the cabinet, you will find a blower motor, evaporator coil, and air filter. When your thermostat calls for cooling, the air handler pulls warm return air from your home, runs it across the cold evaporator coil, and pushes conditioned air back through your supply vents. Without a properly functioning air handler unit, even a brand-new outdoor condenser cannot keep your home comfortable. ## How Do Air Handlers Work? The air handler draws warm return air from your living spaces and passes it over the evaporator coil. The coil is filled with refrigerant that absorbs heat and moisture from the air, which is what lowers your indoor temperature and humidity. The blower motor then pushes the cooled air back through your duct system. Some air handler models also include heat strips for supplemental electric heat during the brief cold periods South Florida occasionally sees. ## Air Handler Parts and Components Every air handler contains several key components that work together to cool and circulate air throughout your home. Hover each card to learn more. ### The Blower Motor Drives the fan that circulates air through your ductwork. The blower runs continuously during cooling cycles and is one of the most common components to wear over time. A weak motor means uneven airflow and a system that struggles to keep up. ### The Evaporator Coil The heart of your cooling system indoors. Refrigerant flows through the coil and absorbs heat as warm air passes over it. A dirty or frozen coil is one of the most common causes of poor cooling performance and warm air coming from vents. ### The Air Filter Captures dust, pollen, and debris before they reach the coil. A clogged filter blocks airflow, forces the blower motor to work harder, and can eventually freeze the coil. Most units use standard 1-inch filters and should be replaced every 1 to 3 months. We also offer AC filter replacement service for your convinience. ### Heat Strips (Optional) Electric resistance heating elements installed inside some air handlers for supplemental warmth. Useful in South Florida when overnight lows occasionally dip and the heat pump alone needs a boost. ## Types of Air Handlers Air handlers come in several configurations depending on your cooling system and available space. ### Horizontal Air Handlers Installed on their side, typically in attics or crawl spaces with limited vertical clearance, which is common in South Florida homes. ### Vertical Air Handlers Stand upright and fit in closets, utility rooms, or garages. A common choice where floor space is available but attic clearance is limited. ### Modular / Fan Coil Units Compact versions used in ductless or multi-zone cooling setups . Each unit serves a specific room or zone independently. ### Commercial Air Handlers Larger units designed for offices, retail spaces, and other commercial applications requiring higher airflow capacity. We install and service commercial air handler units throughout South Florida. ## Why Your Air Handler Matters in South Florida's Climate South Florida runs cooling systems for the better part of twelve months — more run-time than almost anywhere else in the country, putting real demand on every component. ### Consistent Cooling Throughout the Home A properly sized and maintained air handler delivers balanced airflow to every room. An undersized or worn unit creates hot spots, forces your outdoor system to run longer cycles, and drives up your energy bill. ### Better Humidity Control The evaporator coil cools the air and pulls moisture out of it at the same time. A clean, well-functioning coil keeps indoor humidity at a comfortable level — critical in South Florida's climate where sticky indoor air is as much a comfort issue as temperature. ### Improved Indoor Air Quality Upgrading to a higher-efficiency filter or adding UV lights inside the air handler can significantly reduce airborne particles, mold spores, and bacteria circulating through your home. ### Equipment That Lasts Air handler units typically last 15 to 20 years with proper care. Units that go without regular maintenance tend to fail early from dirty coils, clogged drain lines, and worn blower motors — all of which are preventable with routine service. ## Air Handler Replacement Cost Air handler replacements cost varies based on unit size, brand, and installation complexity. Unit brand and efficiency rating, coil configuration, whether heat strips are included, ductwork modifications, and installation access all affect final pricing. Attic and closet installs vary in labor as well. ## Air Handler Brands We Install in South Florida Our technicians install and service all major air handler brands. We recommend equipment based on your system and budget, not a single product line. Pro Comfort AC installs and services all major air handler brands throughout South Florida. Request a quote to get started. ## Signs Your Air Handler Needs Service If some rooms stay warm while others cool fine, the blower motor may be losing power or the evaporator coil may be restricted or partially frozen. Ice forming on the evaporator coil means airflow is severely blocked or refrigerant is low. Running the system with a frozen coil can cause compressor damage. Turn the system off and schedule repair promptly. Water pooling around the unit is almost always a clogged condensate drain line. Left unaddressed, it can cause water damage and create conditions for mold growth inside the air handler cabinet. Rattling, squealing, or grinding sounds usually point to a failing blower motor or loose internal components. These issues rarely resolve on their own. A struggling air handler makes the entire cooling system work harder. If your bills are climbing without a change in usage, the indoor unit may be the cause. If you're seeing any of these signs, don't wait. Schedule AC repair to have your air handler inspected. ## Air Handler Maintenance in South Florida Annual professional maintenance keeps your air handler running efficiently and extends its lifespan. For comprehensive seasonal service, see our HVAC maintenance plans . ### Clean the Evaporator Coil Dirt and debris on the coil reduce heat transfer and strain the system. A clean coil is the foundation of efficient cooling and proper dehumidification. ### Check Blower Motor & Capacitor We test the blower motor for proper amperage draw and inspect the start and run capacitors for signs of wear before they fail mid-summer. ### Clear the Condensate Drain South Florida's humidity creates the perfect conditions for algae growth in drain lines. Clearing the line prevents water backup, overflow, and mold inside the cabinet. ### Inspect Electrical Connections Loose or corroded connections are a common cause of intermittent faults. We tighten and inspect all terminals inside the air handler cabinet. ### Verify Thermostat Calibration An out-of-calibration thermostat causes short-cycling or long run times. We verify it's reading and responding accurately to your settings. ### Replace Your Air Filter Between visits, replace filters every 1 to 3 months. A clean filter is the single most effective thing you can do to protect your evaporator coil and maintain strong airflow. We also offer AC filter replacement service . Most air handler units last 15 to 20 years with regular maintenance. Systems that go without routine service often fail earlier due to dirty evaporator coils, clogged condensate drains, or worn blower motors. Yes. Every air handler has at least one filter slot to protect the evaporator coil from dust and debris. Most residential units use standard 1-inch filters, though some models accommodate thicker media filters for improved air quality. The condenser is the outdoor unit that releases heat to the outside air. The air handler is the indoor unit that cools and circulates air through your home. Both work together as part of a split system and neither functions properly without the other. A typical residential air handler replacement runs between $1,800 and $5,000 installed, depending on unit size, brand, and installation requirements. Yes. UV lights can be installed inside most air handler units to reduce mold, bacteria, and airborne contaminants at the coil. Learn more about UV light installation or ask about it during your next service visit. Replace filters every 1 to 3 months depending on usage, pets, and air quality. A clogged filter restricts airflow, strains the blower motor, and can cause the evaporator coil to freeze. We offer filter replacement service if you'd like us to handle it. Yes. Most modern air handlers are compatible with heat pumps and handle both cooling and heating through the same ductwork. Some include heat strips for supplemental electric heat when temperatures drop. Yes. We install and service commercial air handler units for offices, retail spaces, and light commercial properties throughout South Florida. ## Ready to Replace or Service Your Air Handler? The right system handles those cold snaps efficiently, without the capacity or cost of equipment built for northern winters. ### Heat Pumps The go-to choice for South Florida. Heat pumps transfer heat rather than generate it, making them remarkably efficient in mild climates. They both heat and cool your home with a single system. One unit handles year-round comfort. Furnaces generate heat by burning gas or using electric resistance. Gas furnaces heat faster and cost less where natural gas is cheap. Electric furnaces have lower upfront costs but higher operating expenses. A furnace alone is often overkill, but viable if you already have ductwork. ### Boilers Boilers heat water to provide warmth through radiators, baseboard heaters, or radiant floor systems. Less common in South Florida, but worth considering if you prefer radiant heat or have an older home already equipped with a boiler system. Portable or wall-mounted electric heaters offer a simple solution for occasional use. They're affordable upfront and require no installation, making them practical for Florida's few cold days. Best for supplemental heating rather than whole-home comfort. ### Geothermal Systems Geothermal heat pumps use stable underground temperatures to heat and cool your home. Higher upfront costs, but exceptionally efficient long-term. A good fit for new construction or homeowners planning to stay put for years. Targeted heating and cooling for specific rooms without ductwork. Each unit operates independently, so you only heat spaces you're using. Ideal for room additions, converted garages, or supplemental heating for hard-to-reach areas. ### Packaged Systems All-in-one outdoor units combining heating and cooling. Popular for homes without basements or mechanical closets. Options include gas/electric units, heat pump units, and hybrid dual fuel systems that switch automatically based on outdoor temps. ### Water Heaters Not for space heating, but essential for home comfort. Tank and tankless options available. Tankless water heaters are increasingly popular in South Florida for their energy efficiency and endless hot water supply. Extend your swimming season with gas, electric, or heat pump pool heaters. Heat pump pool heaters work well in South Florida's climate, using ambient air temperature to warm your pool efficiently. ### Smart Thermostats Pair any heating system with a smart thermostat that learns your schedule and adjusts automatically. Control your climate remotely, track energy usage, and potentially qualify for utility rebates. Need heater installation, repair, or maintenance in South Florida? Already have equipment from another manufacturer? We service and repair most makes and models. Schedule a consultation to get started. ## Signs Your Heating System Needs Replacement - Rising energy bills despite normal usage - Frequent repairs with hard-to-find parts - Uneven heating across rooms - Strange noises during operation - Short cycling (turning on and off repeatedly) - Visible rust and corrosion If your system shows several of these signs, replacement often makes more financial sense than continuing repairs. Schedule an inspection today. ## Getting the Right Size Heater in South Florida Heater size matters, even in South Florida's mild winters. An undersized unit won't maintain comfort on cooler nights, while an oversized system will short-cycle, waste energy, and wear out faster. These ranges assume standard 8–9 ft ceilings, average insulation, and typical South Florida construction. Your home may need more or less depending on ceiling height, insulation quality, window type, sun exposure, and number of occupants. Want to know exactly what your property needs? Book a sizing consultation with Pro Comfort AC. ## Should You Repair or Replace? Pro Comfort AC can evaluate your system and help you make the smartest financial decision. ### Consider Replacement If... - Repair costs more than 50% of new equipment - Your system is over 15 years old - You've had multiple repairs recently - Parts are discontinued ### Repair May Make Sense If... - The system is under 10 years old - This is the first major issue - The repair cost is reasonable ## Need Help With Your Heating System? Temperatures can drop into the 40s and occasionally the 30s during cold fronts. Most Broward and Palm Beach County homes benefit from heating capability, even if it only runs a few weeks per year. Yes. FPL and other Florida utilities offer rebates for high-efficiency equipment. Federal tax credits also apply to certain systems. Ask about current offers during your consultation. Yes. Both counties require permits for HVAC installations. We handle all permitting as part of our service. Once per year, ideally before the cooler months. South Florida's humidity can cause corrosion on electrical components and coils over time. Regular maintenance helps identify and address moisture-related wear before it becomes a bigger issue. Then winter comes around and those chilly nights remind you that heating matters too. - Heat pumps handle both without switching systems and use less electricity than running separate equipment. - We install, repair, and maintain heat pumps throughout Deerfield Beach, FL. - If your system breaks down or just needs a tune-up, we take care of it so you stay comfortable all year. ## How Heat Pump Systems Work A heat pump is an air conditioner that runs in reverse. Summer mode pulls heat out of your house and dumps it outside. Winter mode flips the process and pulls warmth from outdoor air into your home. Instead of burning fuel, it moves heat around, taking far less energy. One thing catches people off guard when they first use heating mode. The air from your vents sits around 90°F, not the 120°F blast from a gas furnace. Feels different, but works fine. Your home reaches the right temperature without fuel costs or combustion risks. ## Heat Pump Systems We Service in Your Area We install, repair, and maintain all types of heat pump systems serving South Florida homes and businesses. ### Mini Split Heat Pumps Mini splits mount on your wall and connect to an outdoor unit without ductwork. Perfect for garages, sunrooms, or older homes where running ducts costs too much. Each indoor unit controls its own zone. ### Air Source Heat Pumps These pull heat from outdoor air and work with your existing duct setup . They handle Florida's mild winters just fine. Modern units keep running efficiently even when temperatures dip into the 40s. ### Ground Source Heat Pumps Ground source systems use underground pipes to exchange heat with the earth. Ground temperature stays constant year-round. Installation costs more due to excavation, but efficiency gains can offset the investment. ### Hybrid Heat Pumps These pair a pump with backup heating . If outdoor temperatures drop too low for efficient operation, the system switches to secondary heat automatically. ### Window Heat Pumps Window units fit individual rooms without installation work, though they're less efficient than whole-home systems. Good for rental properties or temporary solutions. ### Solar Heat Pumps Solar pumps combine heat pump technology with solar panels to cut grid electricity use. Higher upfront cost but significant long-term energy savings. ## Our Heat Pump Services in Deerfield Beach, FL We handle heat pump installation, repairs, and tune-ups throughout Deerfield Beach, FL and surrounding areas in Broward and Palm Beach counties. ### Heat Pump Installation We size your system based on square footage, insulation, and room usage. Oversized equipment cycles on and off too often, wasting energy and wearing out components faster. Undersized systems run constantly without reaching your target temperature. After installation, we set you up with a heating maintenance plan to protect your investment. ### Heat Pump Repair Systems break down. Refrigerant leaks, failed compressors, frozen coils, electrical issues. We handle repair calls throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties, including emergencies during heatwaves or cold snaps. Local heating repair means faster response times than national chains. We stock common parts for major brands, so most repairs finish in one visit. ### Heat Pump Maintenance Heat pumps run year-round and need regular attention. We check refrigerant levels, clean coils, test electrical connections, and replace filters during tune-ups. Catching small problems early saves money and avoids bigger failures. Heat pump installation involves refrigerant lines, electrical connections, and proper sizing calculations. Mistakes can void warranties and create safety hazards. Professional heating installations also ensure you get manufacturer warranties. ## Heat Pump Services Across South Florida Pro Comfort AC provides heat pump installation, repair, and maintenance throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Most South Florida homeowners don't realize how much this costs until the electric bill shows up. - We service the central heating components in your air handler, not portable space heaters. - If your system is stuck on emergency heat or you're dealing with burnt wires, we'll find the problem and fix it. - We handle full electric heater services including installation, repair, and maintenance for residential and commercial properties. ## Electric Systems We Know Best We install, repair, and maintain all types of electric heating systems serving Deerfield Beach homes and businesses. ### Electric Baseboard Heaters Baseboard heaters sit along the floor and warm rooms as air passes over the heating element. They work well for sunrooms, guest bedrooms, or converted garages where you want to add heat without modifying your central system. ### Central Electric Heating Elements Electric heat strips in your air handler serve as backup when your heat pump can't produce enough warmth. Running on backup heat costs more. Most people don't know they're stuck in emergency heat mode until their bill doubles. ### Electric Water Heaters Electric water heaters warm water using submerged heating elements. Residential tanks hold 40 to 80 gallons and last 10 to 15 years. Tankless models heat on demand but need higher electrical capacity. We handle repairs and replacements. ### Electric Pool Heaters Electric pool heaters let you swim year-round without gas lines. Heat pump models transfer warmth from outside air to pool water. We handle the electrical and plumbing connections. Learn more . ### Electric Furnaces Electric furnaces use heating coils and a blower to send warm air through your ducts. They turn electricity into heat, but your bills will be higher than running a heat pump. We install and service residential and commercial systems. ## Installing Electric Heater in Deerfield Beach, FL? The most common heating systems around Deerfield Beach, FL are: Gas Furnaces: Gas furnaces burn natural gas or propane to generate heat. They're common in South Florida homes that need reliable heating during cooler months. These systems include burners, heat exchangers, and safety controls that prevent gas leaks and carbon monoxide buildup. Electric Furnaces: Electric furnaces use heating elements to warm air before distributing it through your ducts. They don't require gas lines or venting, which makes installation simpler in some homes. Electric models tend to be safer since they eliminate combustion risks, but they can cost more to operate depending on your electricity rates. From emergency repairs to new installations, we handle all your furnace needs with professional service. ### Furnace Repair When your furnace clicks but won't ignite, it's usually a dirty flame sensor, failed ignitor, or gas valve issue. We check all components and carbon monoxide levels during every call. Then diagnose the problem, explain what's needed, and give you options before starting work. ### Furnace Installation We calculate your home's heating load based on square footage, insulation, and ductwork . Size matters because oversized units waste energy while undersized systems can't keep you warm. We work with all major brands. ### Furnace Maintenance Annual servicing prevents most breakdowns. We inspect heat exchangers for cracks, clean burners, test safety controls, and check carbon monoxide levels. Regular maintenance keeps your system efficient and your energy costs down. ### Furnace Replacement If your system needs constant repairs or can't maintain comfortable temperatures, replacement makes sense. Modern furnaces use less energy and have better safety features. We'll help you decide between repair or new installation . ## A Few Reasons to Work with Us Professional furnace services with transparent pricing and reliable results throughout Deerfield Beach. ### Same-Day Service Our technicians arrive with diagnostic equipment and common parts to complete most repairs in one visit. ### Licensed and Local Every technician is licensed and insured. We handle gas heater service, pilot light repairs, and complete installations across Broward and Palm Beach counties. Most furnaces last 15 to 20 years with regular servicing. Systems that skip annual heating maintenance fail earlier. South Florida furnaces often last longer since they run fewer hours than units in colder states. Winter temperatures drop into the 40s and 50s, which feels cold after living in Florida heat. Many homes have furnaces or heat pumps for those cooler stretches. Some use electric heaters as backup on the colder nights. Once a year is enough in Deerfield Beach and South Florida. Annual servicing catches problems before they turn into breakdowns and keeps your system running efficiently. Most manufacturers require yearly maintenance to keep warranties valid. We warranty all labor and parts for repairs. Coverage depends on the work performed and parts installed. New equipment includes manufacturer warranties. We explain what's protected before starting. Repair costs depend on what failed. Simple fixes like replacing a flame sensor cost less than heat exchangers or blower motors. We provide detailed estimates before starting work, so you know exactly what you're paying. ## Furnace Services Across South Florida Pro Comfort AC provides furnace installation, repair, and maintenance throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. We work with three main types of pool heating systems, each with different benefits for South Florida homeowners. ### Gas Pool Heaters Gas heaters heat water quickly using natural gas or propane. They work well for pools that aren't used daily and perform consistently regardless of air temperature, making them reliable during cooler months. ### Heat Pump Pool Heaters Heat pumps pull warmth from the air to heat your pool water. They cost more upfront but use less energy, saving on monthly bills. They work best above 50 degrees, which fits Florida's mild winters. ### Electric Resistance Heaters Electric heaters work well for smaller pools, spas, or above-ground setups. They're affordable to install but expensive to run frequently. Most homeowners choose gas or heat pump systems for in-ground pools. ## Need Pool Heater Services in Deerfield Beach, FL? Most installations around Deerfield Beach and South Florida require a city permit. We handle all permit applications and inspections as part of our service. Gas heaters typically last 5-10 years with regular maintenance, while heat pumps can run 10-15 years or longer. Coastal environments can accelerate corrosion, so annual servicing is important in South Florida. Yes, most systems can be configured to heat both independently. This requires additional plumbing and controls, which we assess during consultation. Heater sizing depends on pool volume, desired temperature rise, and heating speed. We calculate BTU requirements based on surface area and wind exposure. Undersized heaters struggle on cooler days, while oversized units waste energy. ## Pool Heater Services Across South Florida Pro Comfort AC provides pool heater installation, repair, and maintenance throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Fast response to commercial service calls. - Upfront written estimates before any work begins. No surprises. ## What Is a Commercial Rooftop Unit? A rooftop unit (RTU) is a self-contained HVAC system mounted on top of a commercial building. The entire system — including the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and air handler — is housed in a single weatherproof cabinet on the roof. Conditioned air is then distributed through ductwork to the building below. RTUs are the dominant choice for commercial buildings for good reason. They keep mechanical equipment off the floor, freeing up interior space, and simplify installation by eliminating the need for separate indoor and outdoor components. Maintenance and service is also more straightforward since technicians access everything from the roof. ## How a Rooftop HVAC Unit Works Outside air enters the unit through the intake section. The refrigerant cycle removes heat from the air and pushes conditioned air through ductwork into the occupied space. Rooftop units typically handle both cooling and heating in one package. Gas/electric models use a gas furnace for heat and electric cooling. Heat pump versions handle both modes with refrigerant, which makes them efficient in South Florida's mild winters. ## Commercial Rooftop Unit Sizes RTUs are sized in tons of cooling capacity. Selecting the right size depends on square footage, building use, occupancy load, insulation, and local climate — not just the footprint of the space. Ideal for single-tenant suites and smaller retail spaces. Fast installation and lower operating costs. The most frequently specified range for South Florida commercial buildings. Handles heavy occupancy and kitchen loads. Suitable for high-ceiling big-box retail and open office environments requiring strong airflow distribution. High-capacity units for large open spaces with significant heat loads and demanding ventilation requirements. Undersized units struggle to maintain temperature, run continuously, and fail prematurely. Oversized units short-cycle, leaving humidity problems behind. Proper load calculations before installation protect your investment. ## Commercial RTU Installation in South Florida Installing a commercial rooftop HVAC unit requires structural assessment, crane or lift coordination, refrigerant line connections, ductwork tie-ins, and electrical work. Our team handles the full scope — from equipment selection and permitting through to rigging, startup, and commissioning. ### New Construction We work directly with general contractors on new commercial builds. Our team coordinates rooftop curb placement, ductwork layout, and electrical requirements early in the project, preventing costly change orders later. ### System Replacement If your existing RTU has reached the end of its service life, we can remove the old unit and install a modern, energy-efficient replacement on the same curb in most cases. We handle permitting, crane coordination, and startup testing. ### Load Calculations Proper sizing requires a load calculation that accounts for square footage, ceiling height, insulation, occupancy, local climate, and equipment heat loads. We perform these calculations before recommending any equipment. ### Permits & Inspections Commercial RTU work in South Florida requires permits. We handle the paperwork, coordinate with inspectors, and ensure everything is signed off before we close out a job. ### Startup & Commissioning After installation, we verify refrigerant charge, test airflow, check electrical connections, and confirm all controls and thermostats are working correctly before we leave the site. ### Upfront Written Estimate Every project starts with a detailed written estimate covering equipment, labor, crane rental, and permit fees. You know the full cost before any work begins. Contact us to schedule a site assessment. ## Commercial Rooftop Unit Repair A failing RTU during business hours is a business problem. Employees can't work, customers leave, and perishables or equipment may be at risk. We respond quickly to commercial RTU service calls throughout South Florida. Common issues we repair: - Compressor failures - Refrigerant leaks - Condenser and evaporator coil fouling or damage - Economizer and damper malfunctions - Electrical faults — failed contactors and capacitors - Thermostat and BAS integration issues - Airflow problems from blower motor or belt failures For compressor failures — often the most expensive repair — we'll walk you through your options and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or replacement makes more financial sense. Most RTU repairs are completed in a single visit. We stock commonly needed parts and can source others quickly for less common makes and models. ## Commercial Rooftop Unit Repair vs. Replacement Older RTUs don't always need to be replaced when they have problems. But at some point, repair costs outpace the value of keeping the unit running. Hover each card to see what typically makes sense. ### When Repair Makes Sense - Unit is less than 10 years old - Repair cost is below 40–50% of replacement cost - This is the first major failure - The compressor is still healthy ### When Replacement Makes Sense - Unit is 15–20 years old or older - Repairs are becoming more frequent - Efficiency has dropped and energy bills are rising - Unit uses R-22 refrigerant (fully phased out) - Parts availability is limited Our technicians will inspect your system and give you an honest assessment — repair costs explained and weighed against the benefits of a new unit. ## RTU Brands We Install and Service in South Florida Our technicians are trained on all major commercial rooftop unit manufacturers. We stock common replacement parts and can source components for most makes and models. Don't see your brand listed? Contact us and we'll confirm whether we service your specific unit. ## Commercial RTU Maintenance Plans Rooftop units in South Florida run hard. Heat, humidity, salt air, and year-round operation put more wear on equipment than most parts of the country. Skipping maintenance is one of the fastest ways to shorten an RTU's service life. Our HVAC maintenance plans include everything your RTU needs to stay efficient and reliable: - Filter inspection and replacement - Condenser and evaporator coil cleaning - Refrigerant level checks - Electrical connection tightening - Capacitor and contactor inspection - Economizer and damper checks (where applicable) - Drain pan and condensate line cleaning - Blower wheel and belt inspection - Controls and thermostat verification - Written service report after every visit Regular maintenance catches small problems before they become emergency repairs and keeps your unit running efficiently — which directly reduces energy costs. ## Commercial RTUs for Every Business Type We size, install, and service rooftop units for all commercial applications throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. ### Retail Uneven temps or a failed unit drives customers out. We respond fast to retail RTU failures and offer maintenance plans to prevent downtime during business hours. ### Office Buildings Zoning and economizer-equipped RTUs help balance varying loads across open offices, conference rooms, and server closets while keeping energy costs down. ### Restaurants Kitchen heat loads and dining room comfort require different solutions. We size and configure RTUs for restaurant environments, including makeup air for commercial kitchen exhaust. ### Medical Facilities Precise temperature and humidity control are non-negotiable. We prioritize medical facility calls and understand the demands these environments place on equipment. ### Light Industrial & Warehouses Large open spaces need higher-capacity units with proper airflow distribution. We size and install RTUs for light industrial facilities throughout South Florida. Most commercial RTUs last between 15 and 20 years with regular maintenance. Units in coastal South Florida environments may see shorter lifespans due to salt air corrosion, particularly on condenser coils. Proper sizing requires a load calculation that accounts for your building's square footage, ceiling height, insulation, occupancy, local climate, and equipment heat loads. We perform these calculations before recommending any equipment. Twice per year is the minimum — once before the heavy cooling season in spring and once in fall. High-use applications or coastal locations may benefit from quarterly visits. Yes. We offer emergency commercial HVAC service for urgent situations. Contact our team to schedule an urgent service call. In most cases, yes. We evaluate the existing curb during the site assessment and use a curb adapter if needed to match the new unit's dimensions to the existing opening. Yes. Modern RTUs are available with high EER and SEER2 ratings. Variable speed compressors and economizers can significantly reduce energy costs in South Florida's climate. We can walk you through the options and help you evaluate the payback period. ## Schedule Commercial RTU Service in South Florida Pro Comfort AC provides commercial rooftop unit installation, repair, and maintenance throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. Our licensed technicians have the training and experience to work on commercial RTUs of all types and brands. Call us to schedule service or request a quote online . --- # Commercial Split Systems Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/commercial-hvac/split-systems/ ## Commercial Split Systems in South Florida - For offices, retail stores, restaurants, and medical clinics — split systems cover what most businesses actually need. - Zone control without the complexity or cost of a full VRF setup . Fits tighter spaces than rooftop units. - Licensed technicians, upfront pricing, and full permitting handled for every commercial installation. - 24/7 emergency service available. Contact us to talk through what fits your building. ## What Is a Commercial Split System? A commercial split system divides the HVAC equipment between two locations. The outdoor condenser houses the compressor and releases heat outside. An indoor air handler pulls return air across the evaporator coil and pushes conditioned air through the space. Refrigerant lines connect the two. Commercial units differ from residential in capacity, components, and electrical requirements. Higher tonnage ranges, compressors built for continuous operation, and three-phase electrical service are standard. Multi-split configurations connect one outdoor unit to several indoor air handlers in different areas of the same building, giving each zone independent control. ## Ideal Applications for Commercial Split Systems ### Office Buildings The compressor stays outside, so the indoor environment stays quiet. Different areas — conference rooms, open offices, server closets — can hold different temperatures from a single outdoor unit. ### Retail Stores Equipment stays off the sales floor. Consistent cooling runs across long operating hours without taking up display or storage space. ### Restaurants and Cafes Kitchen heat loads and dining room comfort are different problems. Multi-split configurations address each zone independently without overworking a single system. ### Medical and Dental Clinics Reliable, quiet operation matters in clinical environments. Split systems handle temperature consistency throughout the day without the noise or complexity of larger systems. ### Multi-Tenant Office Buildings Independent systems per tenant simplify billing and eliminate thermostat disputes. Property managers across Broward and Palm Beach use this setup to keep tenants from fighting over shared controls. ## Benefits of a Commercial Split System Hover each card to see why split systems are the preferred choice for light commercial buildings across South Florida. ### Zone Control Without Complex Infrastructure A multi-split setup lets different areas run at different temperatures from one outdoor unit. Unoccupied zones dial back without affecting the rest of the building — no full VRF system required. ### Quiet Operation for Professional Settings The compressor — the loudest component in any HVAC system — stays outside. Inside, only the air handler runs, quiet enough for waiting rooms, open offices, and client-facing environments. ### Lower Operating Costs Over Time Current commercial split systems carry strong SEER2 ratings, and heat pump configurations handle both cooling and heating from one system. For Florida buildings running AC most of the year, that efficiency reduces monthly costs. ### Placement Flexibility Because the outdoor and indoor units are positioned independently, split systems work in buildings where rooftop access is limited. Outdoor units sit at ground level or on a pad, which also simplifies future service. ## Commercial Split System Types and Capacity Ranges From small offices to large mixed-use buildings — the right system depends on your load, layout, and long-term goals. Single-zone units for small offices, server rooms, or retail kiosks. Compact with minimal installation requirements. The core range for offices, medical, retail, and restaurant projects. Supports multi-split configurations, heat pump versions, programmable scheduling, and remote monitoring. For larger or complex cooling loads. BMS-compatible. Also worth comparing against commercial VRF systems for multi-zone control in large, mixed-use buildings. For applications where gas heat is preferred. Efficiency ranges from 80–97% AFUE with single-stage, two-stage, and modulating options. New installs use R-454B refrigerant. R-410A available for replacement compatibility. All units require load calculations before specification. ## Ready to Install or Service Your Commercial Split System? Pro Comfort AC serves commercial properties across Broward and Palm Beach counties. We assess your building, run the load calculations, and provide a detailed proposal with clear pricing before any work begins. Upfront written estimates · Licensed technicians · 24/7 emergency service ## Signs Your Split System Needs Service While other zones work normally — could indicate a refrigerant issue, blocked coil, or failing air handler in that zone. A sign of severely restricted airflow or low refrigerant. Running the system in this state risks compressor damage. Almost always a clogged condensate drain line. Left unchecked, it causes water damage and mold growth inside the cabinet. Rattling, grinding, or hissing usually points to a failing blower motor, loose components, or a refrigerant leak. System cycling on and off without completing a full run strains the compressor and leaves humidity problems behind. Without a change in occupancy or usage — the indoor unit may be struggling and driving up bills across the building. Could be a simple calibration issue or a sign of a deeper electrical fault in the system controls. ## What to Expect During Installation Every commercial installation follows a consistent process to make sure the equipment is sized and installed correctly from the start. ### Site Evaluation & Load Calculation We visit the property before specifying equipment. Load calculations account for square footage, ceiling heights, occupancy, window exposure, and local climate. ### System Design With accurate load data, we design the full layout — where the outdoor unit sits, how refrigerant lines route, and where indoor air handlers are positioned for consistent airflow across each zone. ### Permitting Commercial HVAC work in Broward and Palm Beach counties requires permits and inspections. We handle the permitting process and coordinate with local building departments. ### Installation & Commissioning Our technicians manage electrical connections, refrigerant charging, and airflow balancing. Every zone is verified against the design before we leave the site. ### Controls Walkthrough We walk your facilities contact through the thermostat and controls before the job closes. Ask about our maintenance plans that include scheduled inspections and priority response during peak season. ## Brands We Install and Service Our technicians work across all major commercial split system manufacturers and stock parts for most brands. - Bosch Don't see your brand listed? Contact us and we'll confirm whether we can help. Commercial systems run at higher capacities, use components built for continuous operation, and typically require three-phase electrical service. They carry commercial permitting and code requirements that do not apply to residential work. With regular maintenance, most systems last 15 to 20 years. Florida's heat, humidity, and salt air put more stress on outdoor components than cooler climates, so consistent service directly affects lifespan. A multi-split configuration with correctly sized air handlers handles open floor plans well. Load calculation accuracy and air handler placement determine whether the space cools evenly or develops problem zones. In many cases, yes. Multi-split configurations can support additional indoor air handlers off an existing outdoor unit, depending on its capacity. We evaluate the existing system during the site visit and let you know what's possible before any work begins. We offer 24/7 emergency service. For businesses that cannot afford extended downtime, our maintenance plan clients receive priority response during peak season when demand for service is highest. Yes. Every technician holds a current Florida state license and manufacturer certifications covering commercial equipment. We assess your building, run the load calculations, and provide a detailed proposal with clear pricing before any work begins. --- # Commercial VRF Installation & Repair Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/commercial-hvac/vrf-systems/ ## Commercial VRF Systems in South Florida - One outdoor unit serving multiple independent zones — built for large commercial buildings with shifting occupancy patterns. - Inverter-driven compressors reduce energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional equipment. - Certified across Daikin VRV, Mitsubishi City Multi, LG Multi V, Samsung DVM, and Carrier VRF. - On-site assessment, written estimate, full permitting. Contact us to talk through what fits your building. ## What Is a Commercial VRF System? A VRF system connects one or more outdoor condensing units to multiple indoor air handling units through refrigerant piping. Inverter-driven compressors modulate refrigerant flow continuously based on what each zone actually needs, ramping up and down rather than cycling at full capacity. Daikin markets this same technology as VRV — Variable Refrigerant Volume . Both names describe identical system architecture. All other major manufacturers use the term VRF. VRF performs best in buildings with ten or more independently conditioned zones where occupancy and thermal loads shift throughout the day — hotels, multi-story offices, medical facilities, campuses, and mixed-use developments. ## Heat Pump VRF vs Heat Recovery VRF Choosing the right configuration comes down to one question: do zones in your building need to heat and cool at the same time? ### Heat Pump VRF Two-pipe system. All zones operate in the same mode simultaneously — all cooling or all heating. The right fit for buildings with consistent, uniform load profiles. Lower installed cost than Heat Recovery. The correct choice when your building's zones never need opposite conditioning at the same time. ### Heat Recovery VRF Three-pipe system. Individual zones heat or cool independently and simultaneously. Heat pulled from cooling zones is redirected to zones that need warming rather than rejected outdoors. A sun-facing room may need cooling while shaded suites still require heat. Heat Recovery VRF handles both from a single outdoor unit — for most large commercial projects in South Florida, it's the stronger option. ## VRF Advantages in Commercial Settings Why large commercial buildings across South Florida are switching to Variable Refrigerant Flow over conventional equipment. ### Multi-Zone Control Each indoor unit operates on its own. Unoccupied zones reduce output while active areas run normally, cutting energy waste without manual adjustments or separate systems for each area. ### Lower Operating Costs Inverter compressors adjust output continuously, reducing energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional equipment. That advantage compounds during partial-load hours, which represent the majority of operating time. ### Quiet, Low-Profile Indoor Units Ceiling cassette, wall-mounted, and concealed ducted configurations integrate into finished interiors without the visual or acoustic footprint of conventional equipment. Ideal for client-facing commercial environments. ### Flexibility for Complex Interiors A single outdoor unit can serve a wide mix of indoor unit types simultaneously. Architects and project teams get room to work without mechanical requirements dictating interior layout decisions. ## VRF Applications Across South Florida VRF performs best in buildings with ten or more independently conditioned zones where occupancy and thermal loads shift throughout the day. ### Hotels and Resorts Individual room control, quiet operation, and heat recovery make VRF the leading choice in hospitality. Guest rooms and interior service corridors condition independently without separate systems. ### Multi-Story Office Buildings Perimeter offices absorb direct solar gain while interior spaces stay cooler. Heat Recovery VRF handles that variation across floors from a single outdoor unit without separate systems per zone. ### Medical and Healthcare Facilities Consistent temperatures, quiet operation, and independent room control align directly with clinical HVAC requirements — without the noise or complexity of conventional large-scale systems. ### Educational Campuses Zoned control lets unoccupied classrooms and offices reduce output while active spaces run at full conditioning — without affecting each other or requiring manual intervention between classes. ### Mixed-Use and Luxury Residential Concealed indoor units preserve high-end finishes. Heat recovery configurations meet both comfort and sustainability targets — retail, office, and residential floors served from one system. ## Ready to Explore VRF for Your Building? Pro Comfort AC assesses your building on-site before recommending any equipment. We run the load calculations, design the system layout, and provide a detailed proposal with clear pricing before any work begins. Upfront written estimates · Licensed & certified technicians · 24/7 emergency service ## Signs Your VRF System Needs Service Catching issues early reduces downtime and repair costs. If you are seeing any of these, schedule commercial HVAC service before the problem compounds. While the outdoor unit appears to be running — could indicate a refrigerant imbalance, branch controller fault, or failing indoor unit in one zone. A sign of severely restricted airflow or a low refrigerant charge. Running in this condition risks compressor damage and a much larger repair bill. Loose components, a refrigerant leak, or a failing fan motor — all require a certified VRF technician before the next startup cycle. Could be a branch controller fault, wiring issue, or failed indoor unit PCB. VRF control systems require specialized diagnostics to pinpoint accurately. VRF systems surface fault codes when something is wrong. Don't ignore them — codes point directly to the affected zone or component and speed up diagnosis. Inverter compressors are highly efficient when healthy. Rising consumption on a VRF system usually signals a refrigerant issue or a zone running at full output when it shouldn't be. ## VRF Brands We Install and Service Pro Comfort holds certifications across the major VRF manufacturers and stocks parts for the brands we install most frequently. - Daikin VRV - Mitsubishi Electric City Multi - LG Multi V - Samsung DVM - Carrier VRF Don't see your brand? Contact us and we'll confirm whether we service your system. ## Get Local VRF Service Throughout South Florida Pro Comfort AC serves commercial properties throughout the region, including Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, Coral Springs, and Delray Beach. We assess your building on-site before recommending any equipment. All pricing is provided in writing before work begins. With regular maintenance, most VRF systems last 15 to 20 years. South Florida's heat, humidity, and salt air put more stress on outdoor components, so scheduled service directly affects lifespan. Installed costs are typically higher than those for split systems , packaged units , or rooftop units . Reduced energy consumption, lower maintenance frequency, and longer equipment lifespan generally offset that difference over the system's life. Payback period depends on building size, occupancy, and local utility rates. Refrigerant charge verification, indoor unit filter service, branch controller checks, and controls calibration. Annual visits from a certified technician are standard. Pro Comfort offers scheduled maintenance agreements for commercial VRF installations. Yes. Every technician holds a current Florida state license and manufacturer certifications covering VRF systems. We are fully insured and handle all permitting required for commercial work in Broward and Palm Beach counties. VRF is modular — additional indoor units can connect to an existing outdoor unit up to its capacity. For larger expansions, outdoor units can be linked. It's a practical choice for businesses planning future growth. Inverter compressors run longer at lower capacity rather than short-cycling, which removes more moisture from the air. For coastal buildings in Broward and Palm Beach counties, we recommend corrosion-resistant outdoor unit configurations to address salt air exposure. Yes. Concealed ducted indoor units can connect to existing duct runs. We assess ductwork condition and sizing during the design process to confirm compatibility before recommending equipment. --- # Commercial Packaged HVAC Units Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/commercial-hvac/packaged-hvac-units/ ## Commercial Packaged HVAC Units in South Florida - All components in one factory-assembled cabinet. A packaged unit contains all components — compressor, condenser, evaporator coil, and air handler — in one weatherproof cabinet installed outside. Compare that to a split system , which divides those components between an outdoor condenser and an indoor air handler. With a packaged unit, refrigerant lines, electrical connections, and ductwork all terminate at one location, simplifying both installation and future service. Packaged systems come in heat pump, electric/electric, and gas/electric configurations. In South Florida, heat pumps and electric/electric setups cover the vast majority of commercial applications. ## Rooftop vs. Ground-Level Packaged Units ### Rooftop Units (RTUs) Default for South Florida's flat-roof buildings — retail centers, restaurants, warehouses, and low-rise offices. Units mount on a roof curb, tie into ductwork below, and stay clear of ground-level activity. RTU installation requires crane or rigging coordination, which we handle directly. All installations meet Florida Building Code wind load and hurricane standards. ### Ground-Level Packaged Units The practical alternative when a roof can't support RTU weight, access is restricted, or the lease limits roof penetrations. Units sit on a concrete pad and connect to ductwork through an exterior wall. Easier service access than rooftop equipment. Trade-offs include ground footprint and, in some settings, a secured perimeter. We evaluate both options on-site based on structural capacity, budget, and serviceability. ## Packaged Unit Sizing for Commercial Buildings Getting the size right matters more than most business owners expect. An undersized unit runs constantly and fails early, while an oversized unit short-cycles and leaves persistent humidity problems behind. We run a load calculation before recommending any equipment. ### Typical Unit Sizes by Application Sizing depends on square footage, ceiling height, occupancy, insulation, and building use — not square footage alone. ### What Goes Into a Load Calculation? The starting point. Higher ceilings mean more air volume to condition — a warehouse and an office of the same footprint need very different units. A restaurant kitchen generates far more heat than an office of the same size. Occupancy density affects both load and ventilation requirements. South-facing glass in South Florida adds significant heat load during peak afternoon hours. Older buildings with minimal insulation require more capacity. Humidity, salt air, and near-constant runtime distinguish South Florida from most of the country — and affect which systems last longest here. ## Packaged HVAC Brands We Install Our technicians work across all major commercial packaged unit manufacturers and stock parts for most brands. ### Carrier WeatherMaster 3 – 25 Tons Economizer-capable with demand-controlled ventilation. Performs reliably in South Florida's high-humidity conditions. ### Trane Precedent & Voyager 3 – 25+ Tons Precedent covers smaller retail and restaurant spaces. Voyager handles larger light commercial buildings with BAS compatibility. ### Rheem RGEA & RLNL 3 – 10 Tons Cost-effective for strip mall retail and small restaurants where installation speed and equipment cost are both priorities. ### Goodman GPH & GPCH Rooftop & Ground-Level Lower equipment cost with parts widely stocked across Broward and Palm Beach counties. Available in rooftop and ground-level configurations. ### York YCJF & YHJF Optional economizer and demand-controlled ventilation. Common in light industrial facilities and medical plazas across South Florida. Don't see your brand? Every installation inspected to code. ### Packaged Unit Repair We stock common components for the brands we service and source non-stock parts through our supplier network. Most repairs are completed in a single visit — we communicate lead times upfront if a part needs to be ordered. Scheduled inspections, coil cleaning, filter replacement, electrical checks, and refrigerant evaluation on a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual schedule. Maintenance plan clients receive priority response during peak season. ## Signs Your Packaged Unit Needs Service The unit is on but not keeping up — could indicate a failing compressor, low refrigerant, or a dirty coil restricting heat transfer. A sign of severely restricted airflow or low refrigerant charge. Running in this condition risks compressor damage and an expensive repair. Almost always a clogged condensate drain. Left unchecked, it causes water damage and mold growth inside the cabinet and adjacent ductwork. Loose components, a failing blower motor, or a refrigerant leak — all require a technician before the next startup. The unit turns on and off without completing a full run. Strains the compressor significantly and leaves humidity problems unresolved throughout the space. With no change in occupancy or hours — the unit is working harder than it should. Usually points to a refrigerant issue, dirty coils, or aging components. Could be a calibration issue or a sign of a deeper electrical fault. Don't ignore unresponsive controls — they affect the whole building. ## Schedule Your Commercial Packaged HVAC Consultation Pro Comfort AC serves commercial properties throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties, including Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Coral Springs. We assess your building on-site before recommending any equipment. Pricing is provided in writing before any work begins. Most commercial packaged units last 12 to 15 years under regular maintenance. South Florida's heat, humidity, and salt air accelerate wear on outdoor components, so annual inspections and coil cleanings matter more here than in most climates. Yes. Packaged systems are available in heat pump, electric/electric, and gas/electric configurations. For most South Florida commercial buildings, heat pumps and electric/electric setups cover everything the climate requires without the added complexity of a gas furnace. The unit sits on a concrete pad outside the building and connects to ductwork through an exterior wall. Footprint varies by tonnage, but most commercial ground-level units are compact enough to fit alongside the building without significantly impacting parking or exterior space. We assess placement during the site visit. They are often a good fit, particularly when the lease restricts roof penetrations or modifications. A ground-level packaged unit avoids roof work entirely, which can simplify lease compliance and reduce restoration obligations at the end of a term. We carry common components for the brands we install and service. For less common parts, we source through our supplier network. Most repairs are completed in a single visit, and we communicate lead times upfront if a part needs to be ordered. A packaged unit is the broader category — it simply means all components are in one cabinet. A rooftop unit (RTU) is a packaged unit installed on the roof. Ground-level packaged units use the same all-in-one design but mount on a concrete pad instead. Same equipment concept, different placement. --- # Air Quality Services in Deerfield Beach, FL Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/air-quality/ ## Air Quality Services Pro Comfort AC improves indoor air quality with professional duct cleaning, sealing, and repair services. We serve homeowners and businesses across South Florida. --- # UV Light Installation Deerfield Beach FL Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/air-quality/uv-light-installation/ ## UV Light Installation in Deerfield Beach, FL Kill Mold & Bacteria in Your HVAC System - South Florida's humidity creates an environment for mold and bacteria inside your HVAC system. - Air circulates through coils and ducts where moisture accumulates, causing musty odors and allergy symptoms. - UV light installation for AC units kills mold, bacteria, and viruses before they spread through your home. - We serve Deerfield Beach, FL and surrounding areas in Broward and Palm Beach counties with professional UV light solutions. ## Why Add UV Light to Your System? UV light for HVAC uses ultraviolet radiation to destroy microorganisms inside your air conditioning system. They emit UV-C energy that penetrates bacteria, mold spores, and viruses, breaking down their DNA so they can't reproduce. Most homeowners notice fewer allergy symptoms and the musty smell disappears. The lights run continuously or activate with your system. ## UV Light Options for AC Units We install two types of UV lights depending on your air quality goals and HVAC system configuration. Both options provide continuous protection against microbial growth. ### Coil Sanitizing Lights Coil UV lights mount near your evaporator coil, targeting where moisture and organic material collect. Provides constant exposure to kill existing growth and prevent new colonies. ### Air Sanitizing Lights Air purifier UV lights install in your return duct, treating air as it moves through the system. Work well with high-quality AC filters to capture particles while handling living organisms. ## What Does UV Light Kill in Your HVAC? UV light targets organisms that affect system efficiency and air quality: ### Mold & Mildew Spores Cause respiratory irritation and damage ductwork ### Staphylococcus Linked to skin and respiratory infections ### Streptococcus Responsible for throat infections ### Viruses Influenza and common cold variants ### VOCs Volatile organic compounds from microbial metabolism ## UV Light Brands Popular in Deerfield Beach, FL We work with several manufacturers based on your system and budget: - REME HALO - Whole-home air purification combining UV with ionization technology for treatment throughout your ductwork. - UV Blue - Coil-mounted germicidal lights for residential systems. Available in 14-inch and 24-inch models to match different air handler sizes. - Sanuvox - High-output UV systems with reflective chambers that maximize light exposure for air moving through the return plenum. - Carrier Germicidal UV Lights - OEM lights built to integrate with Carrier systems. Work with most brands. During your consultation, we'll compare models and help you choose a UV light system that fits your budget and air quality needs. All units include manufacturer warranties, and we handle the installation and registration for you. ## Our Deerfield Beach UV Light Services Our team handles everything from system installation to ongoing AC repairs and routine maintenance. ### HVAC UV Light Installation We inspect your current system to determine the best placement for maximum results. The evaporator coil location works best since it stays wet during operation. We also provide duct services for improved airflow if needed. Installation takes 2-3 hours for most residential systems. ### UV Light Repair UV repair usually involves replacing the bulb rather than the entire fixture. Ballasts occasionally fail, but mounting hardware typically lasts the life of your HVAC system. Regular maintenance catches problems before they affect air quality. UV lamps lose effectiveness over time even if they still glow. Most manufacturers recommend replacing bulbs every 12-18 months to maintain germicidal strength. We include UV light checks in our regular maintenance visits and send reminders when it's time for a new lamp. ## What's the Cost to Install UV Lights in Deerfield Beach, FL? The cost to install UV light in HVAC depends on the type you select and your existing equipment. Coil-mounted lights typically cost less than whole-system air purifiers. Homes with multiple air handlers need separate units for each system. With PRO Comfort AC you get a quote right after setup inspection and have financing options for an easier budget. ### UV Light Installation Cost ### Talk to Your Local UV Light Installer We've handled UV light installation in Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and surrounding areas since 2020. We'll inspect your HVAC system, review your UV light options, and give you a clear estimate for your UV light installation in Deerfield Beach, FL. Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday - Sunday: Closed 24/7 Emergency Service Available UV bulbs typically last 9,000 to 14,000 hours of operation. The germicidal effectiveness decreases over time even if the bulb still glows, which is why scheduled replacement matters. UV lights use about the same energy as a standard light bulb, usually 15-50 watts depending on the model. Most homeowners around Deerfield Beach, FL see an increase of $5-10 per month in electricity costs. The UV-C light stays contained inside your ductwork or air handler where family and pets can't be exposed. The wavelength that kills microorganisms is shielded from living spaces. UV lights work with central air systems, heat pumps , and ductless mini-splits. Some configurations require different mounting approaches, which we determine during inspection. Most units have an indicator light visible from outside the air handler. If it's not glowing or you notice musty odors returning, the system needs attention. ## Does UV Light Help with Humidity? Humidity in Deerfield Beach stays above 70% most of the year. Your AC removes moisture from indoor air, but that water collects on cold coils. Darkness, moisture, and debris create conditions for mold and mildew growth. Microbes multiply and release spores into your living space every time the blower runs. UV light for the AC unit provides 24/7 protection. Homes with residents who have asthma, allergies, or respiratory conditions see the most improvement. --- # Dryer Vent Cleaning Deerfield Beach FL Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/air-quality/dryer-vent-cleaning/ ## Dryer Vent Cleaning in Deerfield Beach, FL Professional Dryer Vent Cleaning Services - Your dryer works hard every day, but have you thought about what's happening inside the vent? - Lint buildup is more than an efficiency problem. It's a fire hazard for your home. - Our team provides professional dryer vent cleaning services for homeowners and property managers in Deerfield Beach and surrounding areas. - We remove lint, debris, and blockages so your home stays safe and your dryer runs the way it should. ## Is Dryer Vent Cleaning Necessary? Lint is highly flammable. It builds up in your vents and creates conditions for a fire to start. Thousands of dryer fires happen every year in the United States, and most start in vents that were never cleaned. Cleaning your dryer vent removes this risk. A clogged vent makes your dryer work harder and run longer. Towels that should dry in one cycle need two or three. Your energy bills go up, and the extra strain shortens your dryer's lifespan. Basic pleated filters last one to three months. Higher-efficiency filters may need replacing monthly. If you notice reduced airflow or higher electric bills, check your filter. Get the facts about dryer vent cleaning, pricing, and professional service in Deerfield Beach, FL. ### PRO Service vs DIY Kits Hardware store kits work for basic maintenance between professional cleanings. These brush attachments remove surface lint but can't reach full vent runs or handle serious blockages. Professional cleaning uses commercial equipment that reaches from your dryer to the exterior cap. We remove compacted lint, clear bird nests, and check for damage. For long runs, multiple bends, or heavy buildup, professional service gets the job done right. ### Local Dryer Vent Cleaners We serve Deerfield Beach and surrounding communities with licensed, insured technicians who have the training and equipment to handle any situation. We show up on time, work efficiently, and respect your home. South Florida homes need more than dryer vent maintenance. We also handle duct cleaning to improve airflow and indoor air quality throughout your system. Regular HVAC maintenance keeps everything running without issues year-round. ### Dryer Vent Cleaning Costs Pricing depends on the length of your duct run and how much buildup we find. Most standard residential cleanings are affordable and don't take long. We give you upfront pricing before we start any work, so there are no surprises. Ready to protect your home and get your dryer running again? Contact us today to schedule your service in Deerfield Beach. Call us or reach out online to get started. ## Can You Fix My Dryer Vent Issue? The team at PRO Comfort AC fix dryer vent issues throughout Deerfield Beach every day. The problem usually falls into one of three categories, and each affects how well your dryer works. ### Lint Buildup and Blockages Even if you clean your lint trap after every load, fine particles still get into the vent system. These particles stick to the inside of the ductwork and form thick layers that block airflow. If your clothes take longer to dry than usual, lint buildup is the reason. ### Bird Nests and Outdoor Obstructions Florida's warm climate attracts birds looking for nesting spots, and dryer vents that open to the outside make perfect targets. A bird nest completely blocks airflow and creates safety issues. We check for these obstructions during every service and install bird guards to prevent future problems. ### Moisture and Mold Growth Hot, humid air gets trapped in a clogged vent, and moisture builds up. This creates perfect conditions for mold and mildew. You might notice a musty smell on your clothes or around the dryer. Cleaning the vent removes moisture buildup and improves air quality in your laundry room. ## We Service All Major Dryer Types We clean dryer vents for all residential and commercial dryers: - Electric dryers - Gas dryers - Stackable units in condos and apartments - Commercial-grade dryers in laundromats - Multi-unit apartment complexes - Rental properties Your vent configuration doesn't matter. Short runs, long runs, multiple bends, rooftop exhausts. We have the equipment to handle them. ## When Does Your Dryer Vent Need Cleaning? Most homes need their vents cleaned at least once a year. Families who do multiple loads daily may need service twice a year. Pay attention to these warning signs: - Towels still damp after a full cycle - Dryer feels hot to the touch - Laundry room gets steamy during operation - Clothes smell musty even after washing Many homeowners associations in Deerfield Beach and South Florida require annual cleaning for condo and townhome residents. Some insurance companies also recommend or require it to maintain coverage. Check your HOA rules and insurance policy to stay compliant. Yes, we need access to both your dryer and the exterior vent. Most filters need changing every 30 to 90 days depending on your system and household. Homes with pets or allergies need more frequent changes. Local South Florida homes run AC longer than systems in cooler climates, which loads up filters faster. Basic pleated filters last one to three months. Higher-efficiency filters may need replacing monthly. If you notice reduced airflow or higher electric bills, check your filter. ## What Types of AC Filters Can You Install? The right filter depends on your household, your budget, and what you need filtered out. Most homes around Deerfield Beach use one of these options. ### Standard Pleated Filters These handle dust, pollen, and pet hair without putting resistance on your system. Most residential units run best with pleated filters rated MERV 8 to MERV 11. They cost less than high-efficiency options and need replacing every one to three months. ### Filters for Allergies and Asthma HEPA filters capture smaller particles like mold spores and bacteria. If someone in your home deals with asthma or severe allergies, these are the best ac filters for allergies. They require more frequent changes and can reduce airflow if your system wasn't designed for them. We test compatibility before installation. ### Electrostatic and Washable Options Some homeowners prefer reusable filters they can clean instead of replacing. These work well for basic dust control but need regular washing. We can help you decide if a washable filter makes sense for your setup. Need a new AC installation ? We handle complete system replacements throughout Deerfield Beach, FL and surrounding areas in Broward and Palm Beach counties. ## We Service Every Major AC Brand We repair all major air conditioning brands and system types. Our technicians have experience with central air, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and packaged units. Have an older model or a brand not listed? Contact us . We can source parts and handle repairs for most residential cooling equipment. ## What's Included in Air Filter Service ### Filter Inspection & Installation Our technicians measure your system and recommend the right filter for your home. Most people don't realize they've been using the wrong size or type until we check. We install it during the same visit and stock basic pleated filters through hospital-grade options. If we spot restricted airflow or excess dust, we'll let you know about any issues we notice. ### Common Issues From Clogged Filters A blocked filter creates issues throughout your HVAC system. South Florida homes run AC constantly from May through October, which loads up filters faster than in cooler climates. Your system pulls harder to move air through a clogged filter, driving up energy costs and stressing the blower motor. When airflow gets restricted, your system can't cool itself properly, leading to overheating, shutdowns, and complicated AC repairs . ## Filter Changes Can Save You Money Regular changes extend equipment life. Blower motors, evaporator coils, and compressors all last longer with clean filters. Manufacturers often require proof of routine filter changes to honor warranties. If you need help keeping track or want someone else to handle it, our maintenance plans include regular filter replacement along with other system checkups. ## What Does MERV Mean for Your Filter? MERV ratings run from 1 to 16 and measure how well a filter traps particles. ### What Works for Most Homes Most homes do well with MERV 8 to MERV 11 filters. These catch common allergens without restricting airflow too much. ### Why Higher Isn't Always Better Higher ratings like MERV 13 to 16 trap smaller particles but can strain residential systems not designed for that level of resistance. ### Finding Your Right Filter We run air filter testing during installation to confirm your system handles the filter you choose. The best MERV rating balances filtration with your system's capabilities. No. Running your system without a filter lets dust and debris go straight into your equipment. This can damage your blower motor and coat your evaporator coil in dirt. Even running filterless for a day or two causes problems that cost more to fix than a new filter. The filter won't work right. Arrows on the frame show which way air should flow through the material. Installing it backwards means the filter can't trap particles the way it was designed to. Some filters also have a reinforced side that needs to face the blower. Not always. Thicker filters like 4-inch or 5-inch models hold more dust and last longer between changes, but your system needs the right slot size to fit them. You can't just swap a 1-inch for a 4-inch without modifying your return vent. Thicker isn't automatically better if your system wasn't built for it. Basic filters don't remove odors. They trap particles but don't handle smells. For odors, you need activated carbon filters or a whole-home air purification system. We can recommend options if smell is your main concern. Yes. High humidity means your AC runs more to control moisture, which pulls more air through the filter. Homes near the beach also deal with salt air that can make filters deteriorate faster. Check the frame of your current filter. The size is printed on the cardboard edge, usually something like 16x25x1 or 20x20x1. The first two numbers are length and width in inches, the last is thickness. Buy the same size, or call us and we'll help you figure it out. ## Local AC Filter Service in Deerfield Beach, FL Our team covers Deerfield Beach, FL and surrounding areas in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Even small leaks force your system to work overtime, driving up energy costs and reducing comfort. Duct services that seal leaks and repair damage pair perfectly with routine maintenance to maximize efficiency. Usually right when you need it most. A new system runs anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000, depending on your home and what you need. That's a big number when you're already sweating. We get it. That's why we offer financing plans that let you get comfortable now and pay over time. Whether it's a full installation or an emergency repair, we'll help you find a payment option that fits your budget. ## Why Finance Your New AC Unit? HVAC payment plans let you spread the cost over months or years instead of paying everything upfront. Most of our customers choose financing because it gives them access to better equipment without draining savings. A more efficient system means lower energy bills, which can offset your monthly payment over time. Financing for a new AC unit also means you don't have to put off necessary work. An old, struggling system costs more to run and is more likely to break down when you need it most. With financing, you can replace it before it fails completely. ## Partner Financing Programs Every home cools differently based on size, layout, and insulation. During the consultation, we recommend energy-efficient systems from all major brands that fit your needs and budget. Licensed Insured Serving South Florida Since 2010 Let's be honest: trying to figure out your AC replacement cost shouldn't feel like pulling teeth. We've all been there. You realize your old unit is finally on its last legs, and you just want a straight answer about how much a new one will run you. Instead, you end up calling around, waiting on hold, and dealing with high-pressure sales pitches just to get a basic ballpark figure. It's frustrating, and it wastes your time. At Pro Comfort AC, we believe in doing things differently. We built this AC replacement calculator because we know our customers in Broward and Palm Beach counties value transparency just as much as we do. Getting quotes over the phone can take forever, and sometimes you just want to get an idea of the costs beforehand so you can plan your budget. This tool gives you the power to explore your options instantly, from the comfort of your couch, without any pressure. When homeowners ask us, "How much does it cost to replace an AC?", the answer is never a simple one-size-fits-all number. The final price tag depends heavily on the size of your home, the layout of your property, and the level of efficiency you're aiming for. A sprawling two-story house in Boca Raton is going to need a much different setup than a cozy single-story home in Deerfield Beach. That's exactly why our calculator factors in your home's square footage and the number of stories. These details help determine the tonnage-or cooling capacity-your new system will need to keep up with the intense South Florida heat. But beyond the size of the unit, the biggest variable in your AC replacement cost comes down to the efficiency tier you choose. ## Understanding Different Levels of Efficiency Beyond the size of the unit, the biggest variable in your AC replacement cost comes down to the efficiency tier you choose. ### Basic Tier - up to 16 SEER2 If you're looking for reliable cooling at an affordable upfront price, our Basic Tier is a great place to start. Featuring trusted brands like Goodman, Ruud, and Ameristar, these systems offer standard efficiency (up to 16 SEER2). They are straightforward workhorses designed to keep your home comfortable without breaking the bank. While they might not have all the bells and whistles, they come with a solid 10-year manufacturer's parts warranty, giving you peace of mind that your investment is protected. ### Standard Tier - Two-Stage Cooling Stepping up to the Standard Tier brings better overall efficiency and noticeably improved indoor comfort. With systems from Rheem, American Standard, and Bryant, you're getting two-stage cooling technology. This means the AC doesn't just blast on and off; it can run at a lower speed to maintain temperatures and provide enhanced humidity control-a huge plus during our muggy Florida summers. These units typically include a 10-year parts warranty and up to a 12-year compressor warranty, making them a fantastic middle-ground option for most homeowners. ### Premium Tier - up to 26 SEER2 For those who want the absolute best in energy savings and climate control, our Most Efficient Premium Tier is the way to go. Top-tier systems from Carrier Infinity and Trane XV offer staggering efficiency ratings up to 26 SEER2. Thanks to variable-speed compressors, these units make micro-adjustments throughout the day, running quietly in the background to keep your home's temperature perfectly consistent. They are also smart-thermostat ready, allowing for ultimate control over your environment and your energy bills. ## Got Your Estimate? Let's Lock In the Real Number. Salt air near A1A and the Intracoastal corrodes condenser coils and electrical contacts faster than inland systems. - Many Boca Raton communities and condo boards set noise limits and equipment placement rules . We work within HOA bylaws so your installation or replacement doesn't trigger a violation. - A failing compressor or unit blowing warm air rarely waits for business hours. Our crews respond on nights, weekends, and holidays — call and we'll confirm a same-day window. - Upfront pricing with a full cost breakdown before work begins. Call 954-695-2979 or request service online . ## What Makes Boca Raton Tough on AC Systems Local conditions wear cooling equipment faster than the national average. Boca Raton sits in a subtropical zone with long, humid summers, coastal salt air along A1A, and some of the strictest HOA equipment rules in South Florida. Homes near A1A and the Intracoastal Waterway face accelerated coil and contact corrosion — systems here need more frequent cleaning than inland units. Many Boca communities and condo boards set decibel limits and compressor placement rules. We match equipment specs and screen requirements to HOA bylaws before any install. Boca Raton systems run nearly year-round. Spring and fall tune-ups catch refrigerant issues, clear drain lines, and check electrical connections before peak demand. A system that fails on a humid August night gets attention before the heat turns your home uncomfortable. Our emergency line is always open — nights, weekends, and holidays. ## Your Property Type Changes Everything Boca Raton has three distinct property situations — each with specific HVAC rules, conditions, and recommended approaches. Select yours below. ### Beachfront or A1A Condo Salt air, HOA noise limits, condo board rules ### Gated Community Home HOA bylaws, equipment placement, screening ### Standard Residential Traditional home, no HOA restrictions ### Salt Air, Noise Limits, and Condo Board Approval Condensers within a few miles of the water corrode faster. Coil cleaning, corrosion-resistant coatings, and more frequent electrical contact inspections extend equipment life noticeably. Many Boca buildings have decibel ratings written into their bylaws and may require approval before any equipment swap. We review the requirements before recommending equipment so the install doesn't trigger a violation. Older condo buildings sometimes lack ductwork or have layouts where a ductless mini split is more practical than a central system. HOA rules may also affect which setup is allowed. South Florida humidity keeps drain lines damp for months at a time, feeding algae growth and mold. A blocked condensate line is one of our most common Boca service calls — clearing it prevents overflow and musty odors. ### HOA Bylaws, Equipment Screening, and Permit Requirements Gated communities often specify where outdoor compressors can be placed and what type of screening or landscaping must surround them. We review HOA bylaws before selecting equipment location. Some communities cap outdoor unit noise levels. Variable-speed systems typically run quieter than single-speed units — we match the equipment's rated decibels to HOA requirements before recommending a model. Most full AC replacements in Boca Raton require permit documentation and inspection. We handle the permit process so your install meets Boca code and HOA requirements simultaneously. Estate homes in Boca's gated communities are often large enough that correct system sizing matters significantly. An oversized unit cycles on and off too frequently, leaving the home feeling damp despite cooling fast. ### Straightforward Service — No Bylaw Complications South Florida humidity keeps drain lines and coils damp for months at a time, which feeds algae growth and mold inside neglected systems. Routine cleaning keeps the line clear and the air healthier. A new system makes sense once repair costs outweigh replacement benefits. We give an honest comparison — repair cost vs. remaining lifespan — before recommending an install. A high-efficiency AC can be worth it in Boca Raton because cooling equipment runs most of the year. Proper sizing, duct condition, and thermostat setup all affect whether that higher SEER rating pays off. Florida Power & Light offers rebates on qualifying high-efficiency equipment. We can confirm what your replacement qualifies for before the install — potentially reducing the total cost of a new system. ## AC Repair & HVAC Services in Boca Raton, FL Same-day repair, new installations, and maintenance plans for homes and businesses across Palm Beach County. Technicians carry parts for most major brands. ### Same-Day AC Repair Refrigerant leaks, compressor failure, frozen coils, warm air, short cycling, and tripped breakers. Most Boca Raton AC repairs are handled the same day they come in. Emergency line runs 24/7. Full system replacements, new construction, and upgrades to higher-efficiency models. Every AC installation in Boca Raton includes load calculations matched to your home's square footage and local humidity. Financing available. Boca Raton systems benefit from service twice a year because the cooling season is long. Our Boca Raton AC maintenance plans include scheduled visits, coil cleaning, and priority booking — plus catching salt-air corrosion before it forces an emergency call. Older condo buildings sometimes lack ductwork or have layouts where a ductless mini split is more practical than a central system. HOA rules may also affect which setup is allowed — we review bylaws before recommending a solution. ### Heating Service Heat pump repair, electric heater service, and pool heater maintenance. South Florida's cool nights need a system ready to switch modes. We service heat pumps , electric heaters , and pool heaters . Offices, retail spaces, and multi-unit buildings across Palm Beach County. We handle commercial HVAC repair, installation, and maintenance — including rooftop units and VRF systems . ## HVAC Service Across Every Part of Boca Raton Beachfront condos on A1A, gated estates in western Boca, mixed residential near downtown — each area has different HVAC challenges. ### Boca Raton Beach and A1A Corridor Beachfront condos and homes within a few miles of the ocean deal with salt-laden air that corrodes condenser coils and electrical contacts. Systems here need more frequent coil cleaning and contact inspection than inland units. HOA or condo board approval is often required before equipment replacement or relocation. ### Downtown Boca Raton and Mizner Park Mizner Park and the surrounding downtown area have a mix of residential condos, townhomes, and commercial spaces. Properties here often have commercial-grade climate control needs on ground floors with residential systems above — or older buildings being converted that need system updates. ### West Boca Raton — Gated Communities and Estate Homes West Boca is dominated by gated communities with estate homes, many of which have HOA bylaws covering compressor placement, screening requirements, and noise limits. Larger homes here benefit from multi-zone systems with proper load calculations — an oversized unit in a 4,000 sq ft home cools fast but leaves the space damp. ### Boca Del Mar, Century Village, and Southern Boca Boca Del Mar and the Century Village 55+ community cover a large portion of southern Boca Raton. Condo units here range from original equipment to newer replacements. We service window ACs, split systems, and packaged terminal units — the same range of equipment types as Broward's large 55+ communities. ## Schedule AC Repair in Boca Raton Today Pro Comfort AC keeps Boca Raton homes and businesses cool through the longest South Florida summers. Call or request service online — same-day repair available, 24/7 emergency line always open. Upfront pricing · Price match guarantee · 1-year parts & labor warranty · Financing available ## Salt Air. HOA Rules. Permits. We Handle All Three. The challenges that make Boca Raton different from inland Broward cities — coastal corrosion, condo board requirements, and permit documentation — are standard parts of every job we run here. ### Salt Air Corrosion — Condensers Near the Coast Need More Attention Homes near A1A and the Intracoastal deal with salt-laden air that corrodes condenser coils and electrical contacts. That corrosion shortens the life of outdoor units and tends to show up as weak cooling or repeated electrical faults. Systems within a few miles of the water often need coil cleaning and contact inspection more frequently than inland homes. We also apply corrosion-resistant coil coatings during service visits for beachfront properties that want to extend equipment life further. ### HOA and Condo Board Compliance Many Boca Raton communities and condo boards set noise limits and placement rules for outdoor compressors. Replacing or relocating a unit often means matching decibel ratings and screening requirements written into HOA bylaws. Our team reviews requirements before recommending equipment so an installation doesn't trigger a violation. ### Permit Documentation and Inspection Most full AC replacements in Boca Raton require permit documentation and inspection. Minor repairs don't go through the same process, but equipment replacement affects electrical, mechanical, efficiency, and code requirements. We handle the permit process so your install meets Boca Raton code and HOA requirements simultaneously. ## Why Boca Raton Homeowners Choose Pro Comfort AC A family-owned company serving Broward and Palm Beach counties — we treat Boca Raton calls with the same urgency as our own neighborhood. Homeowners pick us for clear pricing and dependable scheduling, not sales pressure. Full cost breakdown before work begins. Bring us a written quote from another licensed contractor and we'll match it. One-year warranty on parts and labor with every repair and installation. Licensed and certified technicians on every job. ### 24/7 Emergency Availability Around-the-clock emergency availability across Palm Beach County. Nights, weekends, and holidays — call 954-695-2979 any time. Financing through trusted lenders for larger projects. Among AC companies in Boca Raton, our mix of availability and honest quoting keeps homeowners calling back. ## HVAC Brands We Service in Boca Raton Pro Comfort AC repairs and installs all major HVAC brands and stocks parts for most manufacturers. If your equipment is not on the list, contact our team — we service most makes and models and can order components we don't keep in stock. ## Serving Boca Raton and All of Palm Beach County Pro Comfort AC handles same-day AC repair, installation, and maintenance across Palm Beach and Broward counties — from beachfront condos near A1A to inland homes west of the Turnpike. Pro Comfort AC keeps Boca Raton homes and businesses cool through the longest South Florida summers. Call us or request service online to book a repair, a new installation, or a maintenance visit. Repair cost depends on the failed part, system age, labor time, equipment access, and whether the repair involves refrigerant, electrical components, a blower motor, or a compressor. A minor part replacement usually costs less than major component work. Pro Comfort AC starts with a diagnostic visit, explains the problem, and gives pricing before repair work begins. Most full AC replacements and changeouts in Boca Raton require permit documentation and inspection. Minor repairs usually do not go through the same process, but equipment replacement is different because it affects electrical, mechanical, efficiency, and code requirements. Most Boca Raton systems should be tuned up at least once a year, and many homes benefit from service twice a year because the cooling season is long. A tune-up is especially useful before peak summer demand and after months of heavy use. Regular service helps catch weak electrical parts, airflow restrictions, drain issues, and early wear before they turn into breakdowns. A high-efficiency AC can be worth it in Boca Raton because cooling equipment runs for much of the year. Still, the rating alone is not the whole story. We help you decide whether to repair or replace, with honest assessments and upfront pricing. - Sitting farther inland, Coral Springs runs a few degrees hotter than coastal cities — longer cooling cycles, more wear on compressors and fan motors. - Every job includes a price match guarantee and a 1-year warranty on parts and labor. - Call 954-695-2979 or book online — same-day service available for most calls before early afternoon. ## What Inland Broward County Heat Means for Your AC Coral Springs sits farther inland than most Broward County cities and does not get the ocean breezes coastal neighborhoods enjoy. Summer afternoons run a few degrees hotter here, which means longer cooling cycles and more wear on compressors, fan motors, and contactors. No ocean breeze means summer afternoons run noticeably hotter, driving longer AC run times and accelerating wear on compressors and contactors. Coral Springs' dense tree canopy drops leaves, seeds, and cottonwood onto outdoor condenser units. Clogged coils cut cooling output and raise FPL bills by 10–15%. Most Coral Springs homes were built between 1985 and 2000. Many are on their 2nd or 3rd AC system — the right time to evaluate efficiency versus continued repairs. About 15 miles from our Deerfield Beach base. Same-day service available for most calls before early afternoon, with 24/7 emergency response available. ## Should You Replace Your AC? Coral Springs is a master-planned community where most homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s — now 25 to 40 years old, and many are due for their second or third AC system. Here is a general guide based on what we see in the field. Real Example A 12-year-old system leaking refrigerant may not be worth a $1,200 repair. That money is often better put toward a new unit with a SEER rating of 16 or higher. Select yours below. ### Heron Bay Heron Bay is a gated community on the western side of the city with larger homes that often run two-zone or multi-zone cooling systems. These properties tend to do well with high-efficiency equipment rated SEER 20 or above. ### Eagle Trace Eagle Trace is a golf community with homes built primarily in the late 1980s. Many of these systems are on their second or third replacement cycle. Homeowners here often ask about the best time to upgrade rather than repair. ### Cypress Run and Cypress Park Established neighborhoods with single-family homes built in the 1990s. The heavy tree cover in both communities means outdoor units need regular condenser cleaning to maintain airflow — cottonwood seeds, pollen, and leaves collect on coils and fins. ### Ramblewood and The Pines These neighborhoods sit on the eastern side of Coral Springs, closer to our Deerfield Beach location. Most homes are three- to four-bedroom layouts that run a standard 3-ton to 5-ton system. Fastest response time of any Coral Springs neighborhood we serve. ## Ready to Schedule Your Coral Springs HVAC Service? We know what inland Broward heat, dense tree canopy, and aging ductwork do to Coral Springs AC systems. Same-day repairs available — call before noon for most same-day slots. Upfront pricing · Price match guarantee · 1-year parts & labor warranty The recurring challenges we solve across Coral Springs — from debris-clogged condensers in tree-heavy neighborhoods to aging ductwork in 1990s homes and the University Drive commercial corridor. ### Debris-Clogged Condensers from Coral Springs' Tree Canopy Coral Springs' dense tree canopy — mature oaks, palms, and ficus — drops leaves, seeds, and cottonwood debris onto outdoor condenser units year-round. A clogged condenser coil cuts airflow, raises your FPL bill, and shortens equipment life. Getting a seasonal tune-up before the summer peak catches this buildup early. Coral Springs homes with heavy tree coverage around the outdoor unit may benefit from a second visit in the fall. ### Aging Ductwork in 25–40 Year Old Homes Coral Springs homes with aging ductwork may have buildup of dust, mold spores, and allergens circulating through the system. We help homeowners reduce energy costs by up to 25% with smart thermostats, zoning systems, and correctly sized equipment. - In a 4,000 sq ft home in Long Lake Ranches or Forest Ridge, single-zone systems leave the second floor 5–8°F warmer than ground level while unused rooms cool all day. - Detached garages, workshops, barns, and guest houses? Ductless mini-splits install in a single day with no ductwork at all. - Based in Deerfield Beach — most Davie emergency calls reached within 30–50 minutes . 24/7, every day of the week. ## Cut Your FPL Bill by 25% Without Replacing Your AC Larger lot sizes, higher square footage, and detached structures mean the average Davie homeowner spends more on cooling than most of Broward County. A smart thermostat is one of the most effective ways to lower your FPL bill without replacing major equipment. EPA ENERGY STAR data: smart thermostats save 10–25% on heating and cooling. Davie households paying $250+/mo to FPL could see $30–$60 back every billing cycle. Single-zone systems in large Davie homes leave upper floors consistently warmer while over-cooling lower floors and unused rooms simultaneously. Garages, barns, workshops, and guest houses cool with a ductless mini-split in a single day — no ductwork, no structural changes, no disruption to the main system. Dispatched from Deerfield Beach around the clock, every day of the week. Call 954-695-2979 any time for emergency AC repair in Davie. ## How Much Could a Smart Thermostat Save in Davie? Enter your average monthly FPL bill and see your estimated savings with a smart thermostat and zoning system — based on EPA ENERGY STAR data. Larger Davie homes with inconsistent occupancy tend to land toward the higher end of the range. Nest, Ecobee, or Honeywell — learns your schedule, adjusts unoccupied rooms, sends monthly energy reports. Multi-zone dampers + individual thermostats per area. Ideal for homes over 3,000 sq ft with multiple floors or occupancy patterns. Long Lake Ranches and Forest Ridge homes above 4,000 sq ft see the most impact here — different zones at different temperatures, all with the system running at lower capacity. Your estimated savings potential EPA ENERGY STAR data. Actual savings depend on home size, current system, usage patterns, and Davie-specific climate factors. Heat pumps handle both heating and cooling in one system — a common choice for Davie's larger homes. Same-day service available. Seasonal tune-ups, coil cleaning, filter changes, and refrigerant checks. HVAC maintenance twice a year is the recommended minimum in South Florida — schedule before the cooling season in March–April and again in November. Rooftop unit service, packaged systems , and multi-unit buildings along Davie Road and the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds corridor. Commercial HVAC needs including maintenance programs that prevent peak-season downtime. ### Air Quality Services Duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, UV light installation , and dehumidification. For Ivanhoe Estates and Rolling Hills homes with aging 1970s–1990s ductwork that reduces efficiency and pushes FPL bills higher. ## Local Service Across Every Davie Neighborhood Davie's neighborhoods range from 5,000 sq ft estate homes to university-area rentals. Select yours below. ### Long Lake Ranches and Forest Ridge Estate homes on 1 to 2 acre lots, 3,000 to over 5,000 square feet, mostly built in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Many systems are hitting the 20-year mark. Homes this size typically benefit from multi-zone setups sized through a Manual J load calculation. ### Ivanhoe Estates and Rolling Hills Single-family homes from the 1970s through 1990s, many still running original or second-generation equipment. Ductwork from this era tends to develop leaks that reduce efficiency and push FPL bills higher than necessary. ### Nova Southeastern University Area A mix of rentals, townhomes, and smaller single-family homes. Landlords and property managers here need dependable, budget-conscious AC repair and seasonal maintenance to keep tenants comfortable year-round. ### Davie Road and Bergeron Rodeo Grounds Corridor Retail, restaurants, offices, and the Rodeo Grounds line this stretch. Commercial HVAC needs include rooftop unit service , packaged systems , and maintenance programs that keep businesses comfortable through the hottest months. ## Schedule HVAC Service in Davie, FL When your AC goes down in the middle of July, you need a team that picks up the phone. 24/7 emergency AC repair — typical response time 30 to 50 minutes. Clear estimate before any work begins, no hidden fees, no pressure. Upfront pricing · Price match guarantee · 1-year parts & labor warranty ## Built for Davie's Larger Properties. Not a One-Size Solution. Multi-zone cooling for estate homes, ductless for detached structures, and commercial HVAC for the Davie Road corridor — three challenges that require solutions designed for this city. ### Multi-Zone Cooling for Davie's Larger Homes Single-zone systems push the same volume of air to every room regardless of sun exposure, occupancy, or floor level. In a 4,000-square-foot home in Long Lake Ranches or Forest Ridge, that usually means the second floor runs 5 to 8 degrees warmer than the ground level while unused guest rooms stay cooled all day. Multi-zone AC systems fix this with motorized dampers that direct airflow where it is needed and restrict it where it is not. Each zone gets its own thermostat — the master bedroom at 72°, the living room at 75°. ### Ductless Mini-Splits for Detached Structures Many Davie properties include detached garages, barns, workshops, or guest houses that sit outside the main duct system. Ductless mini splits are the most practical way to cool these spaces — wall or ceiling mount, their own compressor, no ductwork at all. Most installations wrap up in a single day. ### Commercial HVAC on the Davie Road Corridor Retail, restaurants, offices, and the Rodeo Grounds need climate control that holds through the hottest months. We service rooftop units , packaged systems , and offer commercial maintenance programs built to prevent downtime during peak summer months. ## Transparent Pricing & Guaranteed Work Based in Deerfield Beach, licensed technicians serving Davie's homes and businesses. You get a clear breakdown before we start — every time. Full cost breakdown before work starts. No surprise charges after the fact — what we quote is what you pay. Written quote from another licensed HVAC contractor for the same equipment? We match or beat it. No questions asked. 1-year warranty on all parts and labor, plus a free follow-up service call after every completed repair. ### 24/7 Emergency Service Davie summers do not wait for business hours, and neither do we. Call 954-695-2979 any time — typical response within 30–50 minutes. ### Financing Options Financing through trusted lenders with flexible payment plans. A full system replacement does not have to strain your budget. ## Certified Across Every Major HVAC Brand Our technicians are certified across all major HVAC manufacturers and stock common parts for most of them. If your brand isn't listed, call 954-695-2979 — we work on most makes and models. ## Serving Davie, FL and Surrounding Communities From Long Lake Ranches estate homes to the NSU area rentals and the Davie Road commercial corridor — Pro Comfort AC serves every part of Davie and all of Broward and Palm Beach counties. Call 954-695-2979 or request service online. You'll get a clear estimate before any work begins — no hidden fees, no pressure. Most appointments available within 24 hours. EPA data shows 10% to 25% savings depending on usage habits and home size. Larger Davie homes with inconsistent occupancy tend to land toward the higher end, especially when paired with a zoning system. Most homes in that range need between 5 and 7 tons of cooling capacity. But tonnage alone does not tell the full story. A Manual J load calculation factors in ceiling height, insulation, window orientation, and roof color. An oversized unit cycles on and off too frequently, which increases wear and drives up your FPL bill. Yes. We retrofit motorized dampers into existing ductwork and add zone control panels with individual thermostats for each area. Most retrofits take one to two days depending on the number of zones and the condition of the duct system. Yes. Ductless mini splits operate independently from the main system with their own compressor and air handler. We install single-zone and multi-zone configurations depending on building layout and size. On most days, our technicians reach Davie within 30 to 50 minutes for emergency calls. We dispatch around the clock, every day of the week. HVAC maintenance twice a year is the recommended minimum in South Florida. Schedule once before the cooling season in March or April and again before the mild heating season in November. --- # Fort Lauderdale HVAC Company Source: https://www.procomfortac.com/locations/fort-lauderdale/ ## Fort Lauderdale HVAC Services - Fort Lauderdale's 165 miles of navigable waterways earn it the nickname "Venice of America" — and that salt-laden air goes to work on AC components faster than anywhere inland. - Based in Deerfield Beach — technicians typically arrive within 30 to 45 minutes for Fort Lauderdale calls. - Upfront pricing, 1-year parts & labor warranty, and a free follow-up service call after every completed repair. - Residential and commercial — from Victoria Park bungalows to Flagler Village high-rises to Federal Highway retail strips. ## Why Fort Lauderdale Is Hard on AC Equipment Year-round humidity, salt air from the Atlantic, and near-constant runtime create conditions that wear out HVAC equipment faster here than almost anywhere else in Florida. Understanding what your system is up against helps you maintain it more cost-effectively. Forces AC systems to dehumidify constantly, shortening compressor life and driving up FPL bills well above the state average. Most Fort Lauderdale homes run cooling year-round, logging 2–3× more compressor runtime than national averages. Wear accumulates fast. Salt buildup on condenser coils restricts airflow, lowers cooling output, and causes refrigerant leaks. Coastal properties east of US-1 need cleaning every 6 months — double the inland rate. Based in Deerfield Beach, our technicians reach most Fort Lauderdale addresses quickly — including 24/7 emergency calls with no extra trip fee. ## Residential and Commercial HVAC Services in Fort Lauderdale, FL Full-service coverage from emergency repairs to planned installations — for homeowners, property managers, and business owners across Fort Lauderdale. Refrigerant leaks, compressor failure, frozen coils, thermostat issues. Most repairs diagnosed and completed on the first visit. Central AC, ductless mini-splits, and heat pumps for new builds and replacements. Load calculation run before every recommendation. Heat pump repair, electric heater service, and pool heater maintenance. Florida heating needs are brief but critical when they arise. Seasonal tune-ups, filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigerant checks. Priority scheduling and discounted labor included. RTU service, VRF systems, and packaged units for offices, restaurants, and retail. Maintenance contracts available for Broward commercial properties. Duct cleaning, sealing, repair, and dryer vent cleaning. Fort Lauderdale's humidity makes ductwork a breeding ground for mold in older homes. ## Neighborhood-Level HVAC Expertise Across Fort Lauderdale Fort Lauderdale's neighborhoods have very different housing stock, duct situations, and salt-air exposure levels. Select yours below. ### Victoria Park Victoria Park homes date back to the 1940s through 1960s. Many still have original ductwork that has been patched and re-sealed multiple times. Full duct replacement or a switch to ductless cooling is common here, especially for homeowners dealing with uneven airflow or poor indoor air quality. ### Coral Ridge Most Coral Ridge homes are mid-century ranch-style builds with single-zone AC systems. As families add rooms or convert garages, that single zone can't keep up. A second zone or a mini split for the added space is one of the more frequent requests we get from this neighborhood. ### Las Olas & Rio Vista Waterfront estates along the Las Olas corridor and Rio Vista need multi-zone systems that can handle large floor plans, high ceilings, and extensive window exposure. Salt air corrosion is a bigger factor here than almost anywhere else in the city, and we recommend protective coil coatings for outdoor units near the water. ### Flagler Village Flagler Village is growing fast with new condo and townhome construction. The systems in newer builds tend to be builder-grade, which meets code but leaves room for improvement. Upgrading to a higher SEER-rated unit in these compact floor plans can noticeably lower monthly cooling costs. ### Lauderdale Beach High-rise condos along Fort Lauderdale Beach often run on water-source heat pumps, PTAC units, or VRF systems instead of traditional split setups. These require technicians who understand shared building loops and chiller systems. We coordinate with building management for access and permitting on every high-rise service call. ## Same-Day AC Service Across Fort Lauderdale Call before noon and we can usually get a technician to you today. 24/7 emergency service available — typical arrival time within 45 minutes for Fort Lauderdale calls. Upfront pricing · No hidden fees · 1-year parts & labor warranty Three challenges we solve here more than anywhere else — because Fort Lauderdale's housing stock, waterways, and commercial corridors create problems that inland markets simply don't have. ### Ductless AC for Older Fort Lauderdale Homes Many homes in Fort Lauderdale's historic neighborhoods — Victoria Park, Coral Ridge, Rio Vista — were built between the 1940s and 1960s without central ductwork. Others have aging ducts that would cost more to repair than to bypass. Ductless mini-split systems cool individual zones without ductwork, install in about a day, and offer SEER ratings between 20 and 30. An efficient upgrade without tearing into walls and ceilings. ### Commercial HVAC Along Federal Highway & Broward Boulevard A failing rooftop unit or VRF system in a retail space affects more than comfort — it costs you business. We provide scheduled maintenance contracts that reduce unplanned downtime across Fort Lauderdale's business districts. ### Indoor Air Quality and Duct Services Fort Lauderdale's humidity makes ductwork a breeding ground for mold, especially in Victoria Park and Coral Ridge properties. If your home feels stuffy with the AC running, the problem is often inside the ductwork — not the unit itself. ## What to Expect From Pro Comfort AC A family-owned HVAC company based in Deerfield Beach, serving Fort Lauderdale and all of Broward County. Every technician holds current state licenses and manufacturer certifications. Written estimate before any work begins. A full system replacement runs $3,500 to $8,000 or more depending on home size, equipment brand, and ductwork condition. Yes. Salt air speeds up corrosion on condenser coils, copper refrigerant lines, and aluminum fin stock. Homes east of the Intracoastal are most affected. A protective coil coating combined with twice-yearly cleaning can extend your equipment's life by several years. Every six months at a minimum. Coastal and waterfront homes face salt exposure that inland properties do not, and twice-yearly seasonal tune-ups and coil cleaning give a technician the chance to catch small issues before they turn into large bills. Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency AC repair across Fort Lauderdale and all of Broward County. Typical arrival time for Fort Lauderdale emergency calls is within 45 minutes. Call 954-695-2979 any time. The general guideline in South Florida is 1 ton of cooling per 400 to 500 square feet. A 2,000-square-foot home would typically need a 4 to 5 ton system. Ceiling height, window exposure, insulation, and roof color all affect the final sizing. An oversized unit short-cycles and creates humidity problems. Yes. Salt air near the Broadwalk corrodes condenser coils and electrical connections. - Modern variable-speed systems lower energy use by 30–40% compared to units from the early 2000s — without replacing your ductwork. - Family-owned, based in Deerfield Beach. Call 954-695-2979 — same-day AC repair and scheduled installations year-round. ## Cooling a Hollywood Home Shouldn't Cost This Much Ductwork in place for 30 to 40 years develops cracks, gaps, and sagging sections that leak conditioned air into attics. Coastal homes near the Broadwalk deal with salt air corrosion. Inland neighborhoods face heavy tree canopy and older single-pane windows that let heat in faster than the AC can remove it. Hollywood homeowners pay among the higher residential electricity rates in Broward — with HVAC consuming 40–60% of that total. Original ductwork from the 1960s–1970s has degraded insulation and loose connections. Sealing it recovers 20–30% of the conditioned air you're already paying for. Modern variable-speed systems adjust output to actual cooling load rather than cycling at full power — cutting energy use by 30–40% versus early-2000s equipment. Homes near the Broadwalk — Hollywood Beach, condos east of US-1 — need condenser coil cleaning twice as often as units a few miles inland due to salt air exposure. ## Common Energy Losses in Older Hollywood Homes Select every issue that applies to your home and see your estimated monthly savings potential. Most Hollywood homes built before 1990 qualify for two or more of these fixes. Select the issues that apply to your home Selected fixes: Estimates based on typical Hollywood, FL homes. Actual savings vary by home size, system age, and usage patterns. Contact us for a site-specific assessment. ## One Team for Every HVAC Need in Hollywood, FL Residential and commercial heating and cooling across Hollywood. Our technicians carry parts for most major brands and can diagnose issues on the first visit. ### Fast AC Diagnosis and Repair Same-day response for refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, frozen coils, and thermostat malfunctions. Every repair includes a cost breakdown upfront and a 1-year warranty. Often, an AC that will not turn on comes down to something we can walk through over the phone. ### Custom-Sized AC Installations Many older Hollywood homes have units installed without a proper load calculation. We size every system based on square footage, insulation, window orientation, and ductwork condition. Learn about the real cost of a new AC installation in South Florida . ### Duct Cleaning, Sealing, and Repair Original ductwork from the 1960s and 1970s has degraded insulation, loose connections, and debris buildup. Duct cleaning and sealing can improve efficiency by 20% or more. Where ductwork is beyond repair, ductless mini splits offer zone-by-zone cooling. ### Winter-Ready Heating Hollywood temperatures can drop into the 40s overnight from December through February. Heat pumps handle both heating and cooling in one system. If yours is blowing cold air in winter, our heating repair team can usually resolve it the same day. ### Commercial HVAC Services Offices and retail along Hollywood Boulevard and Federal Highway. We service rooftop units , packaged HVAC systems , and commercial split systems with scheduled maintenance programs built to prevent peak-season downtime. ### Affordable Maintenance Plans Seasonal inspections, coil cleaning, refrigerant checks, and filter replacements . Most manufacturers require documented annual maintenance to keep warranties valid — skipping a tune-up could cost more than the service itself. Understand the difference between SEER, HSPF, and AFUE ratings . ## Local HVAC Service Across Hollywood Neighborhoods Hollywood's neighborhoods have different housing eras, coastal exposures, and AC challenges. Select yours below. ### Hollywood Beach and the Broadwalk Homes and condos along the 2.5-mile Broadwalk face accelerated wear from constant salt exposure. Condensers here typically need coil cleaning twice as often as units a few miles inland. Ask about corrosion-resistant coatings during your next service visit. ### Downtown Hollywood and Young Circle ArtsPark at Young Circle anchors a growing restaurant and gallery district. Many buildings here are mixed-use with residential units above ground-floor retail. These properties often need commercial-grade climate control on the first floor and residential systems upstairs. ### Emerald Hills Homes built in the 1970s and 1980s where most AC systems have been replaced at least once, but the ductwork often has not. That gap between new equipment and old ducts is a common source of inefficiency — the new unit works harder than it should because conditioned air never reaches the rooms. ### Hollywood Hills Larger lots with mature landscaping mean tree debris and leaf buildup around condensers is a frequent concern. Keep at least two feet of clearance around the unit and check monthly during fall. A clogged condenser coil cuts cooling output by 10–15% and raises your FPL bill noticeably. ### Oakwood Plaza Area Close to the Yellow Green Farmers Market, this section of Hollywood has a mix of single-family homes and townhouse communities. Many of these homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s and are reaching the point where original HVAC equipment is due for replacement. ## Book Your Hollywood HVAC Visit Today If your AC is running but your FPL bill keeps climbing, or if your system is showing signs of age, we can help you figure out the most practical next step — repair, tune-up, or replacement. Free estimates on every installation · Upfront pricing · 1-year warranty ## Lower Your Energy Bills. Built for Hollywood Homes. Leaky ductwork, old single-speed units, and salt air corrosion near the Broadwalk — the three biggest drivers of high FPL bills in Hollywood, FL. ### Leaky Ductwork — The Biggest Hidden Cost in Older Hollywood Homes Original ductwork from the 1960s and 1970s has degraded insulation, loose connections, and debris buildup. You're paying to cool air that never reaches your rooms. Duct sealing recovers 20–30% of that loss. Duct cleaning and sealing can improve efficiency by 20% or more. Where ductwork is beyond repair, ductless mini splits offer zone-by-zone cooling without ducts at all. ### Salt Air Corrosion Near the Broadwalk Condensers east of US-1 face constant salt exposure that attacks coil fins, copper lines, and electrical contacts. Corrosion-resistant coatings and twice-yearly cleaning extend equipment life significantly for coastal Hollywood properties. ### Commercial HVAC on Hollywood Blvd & Federal Highway Offices and retail along Hollywood Boulevard and Federal Highway need consistent climate control year-round. We service rooftop units , packaged systems , and commercial split systems with scheduled maintenance programs built to prevent downtime during peak summer months. ## Trusted by Hollywood Homeowners Since Day One We stand behind our work and our recommendations. A maintenance tune-up, duct sealing, and a smart thermostat together can save $65 to $130 per month. Homes built before 1990 with original ducts tend to see the biggest savings. Most systems in South Florida last 10 to 15 years with regular maintenance. If yours is over 15 and repair costs are approaching $1,000, replacement is usually more cost-effective. Systems from before 2010 also use R-22 refrigerant, which is no longer manufactured and expensive to recharge. Yes, at no charge. A technician will assess your system and ductwork, perform a load calculation, and provide a written quote with options at different price points. Call 954-695-2979 or request a visit online . For homes built before 1990 with original ductwork, yes. Dust, debris, mold spores, and pest residue accumulate over time, restricting airflow. Hollywood's high humidity and older construction make duct contamination more common than in newer homes. Call 954-695-2979 for same-day emergency repair. We serve every neighborhood with clear communication and upfront pricing. - Western Broward near the Everglades — humidity regularly exceeds 80% , putting constant strain on AC systems that were never built for this level of year-round demand. - For seniors in Century Village or families with young children, a broken AC in South Florida summer is more than inconvenience — it becomes a health concern within hours. - Call 954-695-2979 — same-day service for most calls, 24/7 emergency response, upfront pricing before work begins. ## Why Your AC Works Overtime in Pembroke Pines Pembroke Pines sits at the western edge of Broward County near the Everglades, where humidity regularly exceeds 80% and puts constant strain on AC systems. Over 80% of homes were built before 2000 — most residential systems here are overdue for replacement or running on borrowed time. The highest sustained humidity of any Broward city. Variable-speed compressors and enhanced dehumidification equipment are strongly recommended for this area. Subdivisions like Chapel Trail and Silver Lakes have builder-grade equipment well past its expected lifespan. Most residential systems here need replacement or major service. From Century Village retirees to young families in Silver Lakes — Pro Comfort AC covers every neighborhood across the entire city. Nights, weekends, and holidays. For seniors and families where a broken AC becomes a health concern, we prioritize emergency calls during extreme heat events. ## Full HVAC Coverage Across Pembroke Pines, FL Residential and commercial heating and cooling across every neighborhood — from Century Village condos to the retail corridor near Pembroke Gardens. Refrigerant leaks, compressor failure, frozen coils, thermostat issues. Our technicians carry common parts so most AC repairs wrap up in a single visit. Central AC, ductless mini splits, and heat pumps for new and existing homes. Every AC installation includes a load calculation matched to your home's square footage and humidity load. Heat pump repair, electric heater service, and pool heater maintenance. South Florida cool snaps are brief but need a system that's ready. We also service pool heaters . Seasonal tune-ups, filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigerant checks. Our maintenance plans add years to aging systems in neighborhoods like Chapel Trail and Century Village. RTU service, VRF systems , and packaged units for offices and retail. We offer service agreements with priority scheduling and dedicated account support for Pembroke Gardens area businesses. Duct cleaning, sealing, and repair , plus dryer vent cleaning. In high-humidity western Broward, aging ductwork accelerates mold growth and recirculates contaminants throughout the home. ## AC Maintenance Plans Built for Pembroke Pines Routine maintenance is the most effective way to prevent breakdowns and extend the life of your system. With Pembroke Pines' high humidity and year-round cooling demand, skipping annual service is a gamble. For aging systems in neighborhoods like Chapel Trail or Century Village, regular tune-ups can add years to equipment that might otherwise need early replacement. Most AC systems in Pembroke Pines are 15 to 25 years old. Skipping annual service raises the risk of compressor failure, refrigerant leaks, and mold growth inside air handlers. ### What a Tune-Up Includes Tick each item to see what our technicians check on every visit - Indoor and outdoor unit inspection - Evaporator and condenser coil cleaning - Refrigerant pressure and level check - Thermostat accuracy test - Electrical connection tightening - Condensate drain line flush - Air filter check and replacement recommendation ## Pembroke Pines Communities We Serve Every neighborhood in Pembroke Pines has different housing stock, system types, and humidity challenges. Select yours below. ### Century Village One of the largest 55+ communities in South Florida, Century Village has thousands of condo units with systems ranging from PTACs to central air. Many units still have original or second-generation equipment. We service window units, wall-mounted systems, and central air setups throughout the community. ### Silver Lakes and Chapel Trail Both neighborhoods were developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s with builder-grade central air. Many homeowners are now on their second or third system and need guidance on choosing equipment that handles Everglades-adjacent humidity. ### Pembroke Falls and Pembroke Isles These newer developments have more modern systems but deal with the same high-humidity conditions as the rest of western Pembroke Pines. Annual maintenance and filter changes every 30 to 60 days help keep equipment running efficiently. ### The Shops at Pembroke Gardens This commercial center and surrounding retail and office spaces need reliable commercial HVAC service. We offer service agreements with priority scheduling and dedicated account support — commercial HVAC coverage including rooftop units, VRF systems, and packaged units. ## 24/7 Emergency AC Repair in Pembroke Pines, FL A broken AC in South Florida summer is more than an inconvenience — for seniors in Century Village or families with young children, it can become a health concern within hours. Many still have original galvanized steel ductwork from the 1970s–1980s — corroding from the inside out and leaking conditioned air into attics. - Sealing and insulating ductwork cuts cooling costs by 10–30% . That benefits shade and curb appeal — but leaves, seeds, and pollen collect on your outdoor condenser year-round. Meanwhile, about 85% of local housing was built before 2000, with original ductwork that's been corroding for decades. Plantation's canopy drops debris year-round. Clean every 3–6 months — more often near live oaks, ficus, and palms. Keep 2 ft of clearance around the condenser at all times. Most Plantation homes still have original galvanized steel ductwork from the 1970s–1980s, corroding from the inside and leaking conditioned air into attics and wall cavities. Sealing and insulating ductwork cuts cooling costs by 10–30%. Full replacement of corroded galvanized ducts pushes that to the high end. About 15 miles northeast of Plantation — same-day AC repair available for most calls before early afternoon, 24/7 emergency service always on. ## Is Your Home's Ductwork Costing You Money? About 85% of local housing was built before 2000. Many homes in older subdivisions like Plantation Isles still have original galvanized steel ductwork from the 1970s and 1980s. After decades in South Florida's humidity, that metal corrodes from the inside out — select the option that fits your situation. Signs your ductwork may need attention: ### Duct Repair Targeted sealing of isolated leaks ### Duct Replacement Full new flex or fiberglass duct system Not sure which applies? RTUs, VRF systems , and packaged units for offices and retail. The Fountains area and Plantation's main retail corridor need climate control that holds up through peak summer months with minimal downtime. ## Local HVAC Service Across Plantation Neighborhoods Plantation's neighborhoods range from semi-rural horse properties to tight urban lots. Each has its own HVAC challenges — select yours below. ### Plantation Acres A semi-rural enclave with large lots and horse properties. AC systems here tend to be oversized for the structure and undermaintained. Outdoor units sit exposed to sun and debris with limited natural protection. ### Jacaranda Country Club Homes in this gated community were built primarily in the 1980s and 1990s. Many still run on their original duct systems, which puts them at or past their expected lifespan. ### Hawk's Landing Estate homes on large, landscaped lots with multi-zone cooling systems. The dense surrounding foliage means coil cleaning and duct inspections should be part of a regular schedule here. ### Plantation Isles One of the older subdivisions in the city, where galvanized steel ductwork is common. Homeowners here frequently report uneven cooling and rising energy costs tied to duct deterioration. ### The Fountains Area A mix of single-family homes and townhomes near Plantation's main retail corridor. Outdoor units in these tighter lots need more frequent cleaning due to limited airflow clearance. ### Pine Island Ridge Some of the tallest old-growth trees in Plantation surround the homes here. Condenser units collect debris faster than in most other neighborhoods, making routine outdoor unit maintenance especially important. ## When Your System Goes Down on a Saturday in August You need someone who answers the phone. Pro Comfort AC offers same-day AC repair and around-the-clock emergency service for Plantation home and business owners — upfront pricing before any work starts. Upfront pricing · Price match guarantee · 1-year warranty on parts & labor ## Tree Canopy. Aging Ductwork. One Team That Handles Both. Plantation's mature trees and pre-2000 housing stock create predictable HVAC challenges — here's how we address each one. ### Tree Canopy vs. Your Outdoor Condenser Plantation's tree ordinances protect one of the most mature canopies in Broward County. That means leaves, seeds, and pollen collect on your outdoor condenser year-round. As debris builds up on the coils, airflow drops and the system works harder. Shade from large trees can improve efficiency by lowering the temperature around the outdoor unit. But most homeowners in Hawk's Landing, Plantation Acres, and Pine Island Ridge cannot remove those trees. Keep at least two feet of clearance and schedule coil cleaning every three to six months. ### Aging Galvanized Steel Ductwork Many Plantation homes, especially in Plantation Isles, still have original galvanized steel ductwork from the 1970s–1980s. After decades in South Florida's humidity, that metal corrodes from the inside out. Small holes and loose connections let conditioned air escape into attics and wall cavities. ### Ductless Mini-Splits for Additions & Tight Lots Ductless mini splits are a strong fit for sunrooms, converted garages, home additions, and any room without access to your central duct system. They also work well as a whole-home solution where the existing ductwork is too far gone to repair. ## Built on Trust With Plantation Residents Family-owned HVAC company based in Deerfield Beach, about 15 miles northeast of Plantation. Current state licenses, manufacturer certifications, and upfront pricing on every job. Full cost breakdown before work begins. Upfront pricing before any work starts, no surprise charges after the fact. Our price match guarantee applies to any written quote from another licensed HVAC contractor for the same equipment. Every repair and installation comes with a 1-year warranty on parts and labor, plus a free follow-up service call. ### 24/7 Emergency Service For emergency service outside regular business hours, our 24/7 line is always open. Same-day response on most calls. Financing through trusted lenders for system replacements. A full system replacement doesn't have to strain your budget. ## Parts in Stock for Most Major Manufacturers Certified on all major HVAC brands. If your system uses a brand not listed here, call (954) 695-2979 and we'll confirm availability. ## Serving Plantation and Nearby Broward County Communities Pro Comfort AC covers all of Broward and Palm Beach counties. From Plantation Acres semi-rural properties to the Fountains retail corridor — same-day service and honest pricing throughout. ## Schedule Your Plantation HVAC Service Call (954) 695-2979 or request service online. Upfront pricing before any work starts — no surprise charges, no pressure. Free estimates for new system installations. Every three to six months. Plantation's tree canopy drops a large volume of leaves, seeds, and pollen throughout the year. Debris on the condenser coils reduces airflow and forces the system to run longer. A rinse with a garden hose helps between professional cleanings. If your home was built before 1990 and you notice rooms that cool unevenly, excess dust in the air, or energy bills that keep climbing, it's time for a duct inspection. Corroded galvanized steel ducts are one of the most common issues in older Plantation homes, and sealing alone may not be enough if the metal has deteriorated. Ductless mini splits are a strong fit for sunrooms, converted garages, home additions, and any room without access to your central duct system. They also work well as a whole-home solution in cases where the existing ductwork is too far gone to repair. Yes. We provide no-charge estimates for new system installations across Plantation, FL. Call (954) 695-2979 or reach out online to set up a time. We offer financing through trusted lenders with flexible payment terms. A full system replacement doesn't have to strain your budget. Most local addresses reached in under 20 minutes. - From beachside neighborhoods east of Federal Highway to the Cypress Creek industrial corridor — we cover every part of the city. - Upfront pricing, 1-year parts & labor warranty, price match guarantee, and a free follow-up call after every repair. - Residential and commercial — call 954-695-2979 or fill out our online form to get on the schedule. ## Your Home's Location Affects How Long Your System Lasts Much of Pompano Beach's housing stock dates from the 1950s through the 1990s, and South Florida's year-round heat and humidity force AC systems to work harder than in most of the country. Coastal homes face salt air corrosion while inland neighborhoods like Cypress Bend and Palm Aire battle aging ductwork leaking conditioned air into attics. Located in Deerfield Beach, our technicians reach most Pompano Beach addresses in under 20 minutes — the fastest response time of any city we serve. Homes east of the Intracoastal corrode outdoor AC components twice as fast as inland properties. Salt air attacks condenser fins, copper lines, and electrical contacts. Aging ductwork from 1970s–1980s homes in Cypress Bend and Palm Aire commonly loses 20% or more of conditioned air into uncooled attics — raising bills and wear on the system. Our closest city to serve. Same-day appointments available for calls received before early afternoon, with 24/7 emergency service nights, weekends, and holidays. ## HVAC Services Available in Pompano Beach, FL Residential and commercial heating and cooling across every neighborhood — from the beachside condos near the Pompano Pier to the Cypress Creek commercial corridor. ### Fast AC Troubleshooting Refrigerant leaks, compressor issues, frozen evaporator coils, thermostat malfunctions, and drainage problems. 24/7 emergency AC repair line runs around the clock. ### Upgrading to a New System? If your system is 15+ years old, or repair costs are approaching half the price of a new unit, replacing your AC is usually the better financial move. Central air, ductless mini splits, and heat pumps. ### Cold Snap-Ready Heating South Florida does get cold snaps. Heat pumps , electric heaters, and furnaces all need periodic attention. We also service pool heaters for residential and commercial pools. ### Air Quality & Duct Services Leaking ductwork circulates dust, mold spores, and allergens. We handle duct cleaning and sealing , UV light systems , and filter replacement . The Cypress Creek corridor and Pompano's revitalized downtown need reliable climate control. We service rooftop units , packaged systems, and VRF installations for commercial properties of all sizes. ### Ductless Mini Splits For concrete block bungalows east of Federal Highway and older homes without ductwork. Ductless mini splits and air handlers cool individual zones without tearing into walls. ## Serving Every Pompano Beach Neighborhood Pompano Beach's neighborhoods have different housing eras, duct situations, and salt-air exposure. Select yours below. ### Old Pompano This area is in the middle of a major revitalization, with new restaurants and mixed-use buildings replacing older commercial properties. Many remaining homes date to the 1960s and 1970s with AC systems that have been patched multiple times. Full replacements and ductless mini split conversions are the most common requests here. ### Harbor Village and the Beach Area Newer luxury townhomes and condos sit alongside older concrete block beach homes near the Pompano Municipal Pier, which was rebuilt in 2019. Salt air in this corridor is hard on outdoor equipment. If you live east of the Intracoastal, ask about corrosion-resistant condenser coatings during your next service visit. ### Palm Aire Originally a 1970s golf resort community, Palm Aire's condos and single-family homes often still run on original ductwork that has deteriorated over the decades. A duct inspection often reveals hidden leaks quietly adding to your monthly energy bill. ### Cypress Bend and Central Pompano These 1980s family neighborhoods with traditional split-system central air are now over 40 years old, and many homes are on their second or third AC system. Sizing is a common issue. Oversized units installed during previous replacements cycle too frequently and never pull enough humidity from the air. ## Same-Day AC Service Across Pompano Beach Only 5 miles from Deerfield Beach — our technicians reach most Pompano Beach addresses in under 20 minutes. 24/7 emergency service available nights, weekends, and holidays. Upfront pricing · No hidden fees · 1-year parts & labor warranty The most common challenges we solve in Pompano Beach — because concrete block bungalows east of Federal Highway, aging ductwork in Palm Aire, and the Cypress Creek commercial corridor all create problems that generic service can't address. ### Ductless Mini Splits for Older Pompano Beach Homes Many older homes in Pompano Beach were built without central ductwork, especially the concrete block bungalows east of Federal Highway. Installing traditional ducts in these homes is expensive and disruptive. Ductless mini splits cool individual rooms or zones without tearing into walls and ceilings. They connect an outdoor compressor to one or more indoor air handlers through a small conduit — no ductwork at all. ### Commercial HVAC for the Cypress Creek Corridor The Cypress Creek corridor and the areas around Pompano Beach's revitalized downtown include offices, warehouses, restaurants, and retail spaces. A failing rooftop unit costs you business. We provide scheduled maintenance contracts that reduce unplanned downtime, servicing rooftop units , VRF systems , and packaged HVAC units . ### Aging Ductwork in 1970s and 1980s Homes Flexible ductwork from this era was not built to last forever. Connections loosen, insulation breaks down, and gaps form at joints. A duct system losing even 20% of its airflow forces the AC to run longer and harder, raising both energy costs and equipment wear. We handle duct cleaning, sealing, and repair — and a duct inspection often reveals hidden leaks quietly adding to your monthly bill. ## Schedule, Diagnose, Approve, Done A family-owned HVAC company based in Deerfield Beach, 5 miles from Pompano Beach. All completed work is backed by a 1-year warranty on parts and labor, plus a free follow-up service call after every completed repair. System replacements don't have to be a single upfront expense. Flexible financing through trusted lenders for installations and larger repairs. Certified across all major manufacturers. Select the symptom you're experiencing — see the most likely cause, typical repair cost, and urgency level based on what our technicians see most often in Tamarac, FL homes. ### Blowing Warm Air Most likely cause Compressor failure causing the system to blow warm air, or a refrigerant leak that has reduced cooling capacity. In Tamarac's older homes, the refrigerant may be R-22, which is no longer in production and expensive to source. ### Ice or Frozen Coils Frozen evaporator coils from restricted airflow or low refrigerant. In Tamarac homes, the most common cause is undersized ductwork that can't move enough air across the coil, combined with a dirty filter blocking return airflow. ### System Won't Turn On Electrical failures including capacitor burnout and contactor issues. In Tamarac's older homes, capacitors and contactors are common failure points. First check: verify the circuit breaker hasn't tripped and the thermostat has power. ### High FPL Bill CBS block construction traps humidity inside walls and ceilings. If the system is undersized or the ducts are leaking, the result is hot spots and FPL bills that climb month after month. Ductwork in Tamarac's 1970s–1980s homes is often undersized for modern systems. ### Thermostat Unresponsive Thermostat malfunctions that leave the system unresponsive — common in Tamarac's older homes where thermostats haven't been updated in 10–15 years. In some cases the wiring itself has deteriorated. Emergency AC repair in Tamarac typically runs $150 to $500 for most common issues. Major component failures may cost more — we always provide the price before starting. ## Full HVAC Coverage for Tamarac Properties Certified to work on all major brands and system types. Commercial HVAC maintenance and emergency services. ## Local Service for Every Part of Tamarac, FL From the original 1970s Mainlands communities to the Commercial Boulevard corridor — each neighborhood has its own HVAC profile. ### The Mainlands of Tamarac Lakes One of the original 1970s communities with thousands of single-family homes. Many properties here have gone through multiple AC system lifecycles, and the ductwork often needs attention alongside any system upgrade. ### Woodmont A large subdivision of 1980s-era homes. Single-zone systems are common here, and they tend to struggle cooling back bedrooms evenly during peak summer months. ### Woodlands A mix of single-family homes and townhomes. Twice-yearly AC maintenance goes a long way in this neighborhood, especially for units running 10 years or more. ### Colony West Sits near the Colony West Country Club with a range of older and updated properties. System sizing varies widely across this neighborhood depending on renovations and additions. ### Tamarac Lakes The community that gave the city its start. CBS block construction, 1970s–1980s ductwork, and R-22 refrigerant still in circulation — challenges that need solutions specific to this city. ### CBS Block Construction — Heat Trapping and Duct Challenges CBS block construction traps humidity inside walls and ceilings. If the system is undersized or the ducts are leaking, the result is hot spots, mold risk, and FPL bills that climb month after month. Homes from the 1970s and 1980s in communities like The Mainlands and Woodmont share the same recurring problems: air handlers past their useful life and ductwork undersized for modern systems. We size every replacement based on a load assessment of your specific home. ### R-22 Refrigerant — Retrofit or Replace? Some Tamarac homes still run on R-22 refrigerant, which was phased out of production in 2020. The remaining supply is limited and increasingly expensive.
